Is there anything obviously interesting on the holo board?

Nothing stands out because there is a LOT on the board due to the size of the city. You won't exactly need a computer check unless you want to do anything tres fancy, but some search terms to narrow down exactly what you guys are looking for will make it easier to process.
Edited by Benjan MerunaIs this something that we would all make individual check for? Or one person makes the check and can get boosts for everyone helping?
There no check, just basically give me what you're looking for (each person can enter their own 'search terms'). So if Melonie and Vic are both looking for bounty jobs, I can do a bit about that, if Kara is looking for something like "Need someone to verify my super rare historical find I found in my hablock" (Spoiler alert - it's probably not) I can do a bit about that, if Shishi is looking to do some freelance tech support...etc.
Kara would probably be looking for something that would allow seeing as much of the city as possible, like a courier job.
Vic could be talked into being down to see the sights.
Melonie would prefer a courier job that's either Heroic and Helping the Downtrodden! or for the Hutt so they have a better chance to check out the stone, but she also wants to eat. And get new filters.
We also have a semi functional freighter, that could pay well too.
So:
-Minor Bounties
-Courier work
-Technical assistants/repair/inventing
-paying special attention to anything this Hutt needs, trying to get an "in"
Maybe a fill in gig for a space Elvis/lounge singing?

Sorry, I didn't see this before I posed, I'll edit.
Richard, if you want to try to "chase" that face, it'll be an Average Computer check to fiddle with the board, with a setback if you want to do it surreptitiously.
What was that face Computers: 2eA+2eP+1eB+2eD+1eS 0 successes, 2 advantage, 1 Triumph

interesting...

Well...hmm.
I can think of a few things. If you don't have any specific requests, I'll come up with something.
Probably a job for the Hutt that specifically needs an outsider, a delicate slicing job, planting a bug in a Droid, something that seems legal on the surface but will undoubtedly be illegal in the end.
Some work for Figg Excavations could be useful too, but the Hutt is more worthwhile.
Edited by RichardbuxtonOkay... was Shishi's comment supposed to be rude? Or just another not heard comment? Melonie isn't a stupid character and that was more than a little insulting. Especially given that she has shown some proficiency at this point.

Shishi was trying to crack a joke, he isn't the worst joker in the galaxy, but he isn't great either. Im thinking his problem is conveying his rather quick assessment of any situation, he evaluates risk quickly and comes up with what he thinks is the best option.
Im also assuming these characters know each other quite well, well enough to give each other a little ribbing now and then.
I personally definitely don't want to be rude, I'm just trying to find the character in this character. If it's out of bounds I'll happily adjust to ensure a group of PC's who willingly works together.
I just want to make sure I get the context so reactions are appropriate. I couldn't tell if it was a teasing or dissmissive tone to the comment. I'm totally fine with ribbing, I'm just not thrilled with the idea of playing a character that is constantly called stupid and having to pretend that she's so stupid she can't tell. I also thought we had just met maybe a week or so ago at most (aside from Vic and Shishi, obviously).
I'll edit in a bit to get the meaning clearer. Hang on a moment.
The way I see it is mel will probably be seen as airheaded until she suprises them... Which Vic saw a bit of with the weequay, he just learned to appreciate her ability to pick up a trick and run with it.
In fact I think Vic will end up teaming up a lot with Mel as shes got gusto which frankly he values more then book knowledge...
I meant for the 'hand' thing to be a question that actually wanted an answer, rather than any kind of insult. I can change it if it comes across as an insult.
EDIT: Also I'm not going to get much posting in today, probably just the one I'm going to put up now.
Edited by Imperial StormtrooperStreetwise to identify the best place to locate big vic and his weequay friends now?

That's totally fair, so long as she can surprise them, on the occasions that I do get good rolls. ![]()

Gusto? Oh... oh yes. Very much so.
Do we know what kind of security would be in the spaceport? Like, not that much if Vic and his bro-pack can hit up landing ships, but wold blaster fire instantly trigger alarms and bring down local authorities? We don't want to give them to the real spaceport officials, after all.
Edited by DunefarbleOh yea Vic actually has a soft spot for feisty women.
To his credit he isn't so much a sexist, as a cynic who distrusts optimistic people, or people who've had it easy.
I'm ready to chase these suckers down, although I'll be asleep soon so will be a while before I respond more
