I think we should be careful, if their intelligence is in a certain area (not too high and not too low), they might think that kidnapping the daughter of a grand moff is a great idea (when it would probably be very very foolish). Otherwise they might think making friends is one of the best options.

It's a bit of a two edged sword, that's for certain.

Vic, your Deception roll is gonna be 1 Challenge (and you guys get another Destiny point back), 2 difficulty, 1 setback (these guys hear a lot of BS and spacer tall tales in their line of work), and 1 boost from Melonie's unskilled assist.

I'll mention when we get to the bar for them to play gentle as she's over due for a daddy check up.

Actually maybe we want her kidnapped... That Hutt might think since it's employees did the kidnapping, that Moff Tarkin might exact revenge on the Hutt.

At that point he might givu up The gem just to sweep the episode underneath the rug...

As long as nobody actually reaches Tarkin. And as long they do work for the hutt, and aren't just poaching. Best if they try and fail and we can take them to the hutt ourselves. "I think these are yours..."

Well, at this point he's already told a lie (Pirate hijacking her yacht, Daddy looking for her...even if the lie isn't that he's THE Tarkin, it's still a lie) so he'll need to roll Deception to sell it, unless you and Dunefarble both want to walk things back a bit.

I'm game to go for it.

Can I use a Destiny point? And if so what does that do on the roll?

Absolutely! It will give you a yellow in place of a green, so the final tally would be 2 yellow, 1 green, and one blue against 1 red, 2 purple, and 1 setback.

Super bad luck on that roll

....They still like me, right?

Hopefully that just means no free scrubbers.... Yea...

Well someone might wanna intervene Vic might slap a Wequay

Just to clarify, Shard, are you trying to get out of paying them the 50 credits through intimidation? If so, that's gonna be a Coercion check. 3 difficulty, 1 setback (they're a little peeved)

Sorry, but she was in on the scam. The good news is that they're focused on the one that currently talking, so that's something, right?

You just posted, didn't you?

Edit: but if you're just paying them off, no check is necessary.

I don't really want a fight first thing, and maybe we can recover a little bit.

I'm hoping someone tells Vic to back off and chill out.

What would the skill and difficulty be to try and tell the Weequay that Vic and Mel don't know how to act in big cities? To try and get it back down to the 25 credits it started at.

Kara wouldn't want to pay to 50 credits, but she'd be willing to pay the 25, trying to play the event off as a first time in the big city for Mel and Vic, would be how she'd try it.

Sorry, I posted before I saw this, but I can walk it back. That would probably be a Charm check, but it would be upgraded because they were already Charmed once before.

That's fine, we can move on. I would like to think that the difference between 25 and 50 credits won't matter much soon.

We're sadly lacking a laughing devil emote on these boards, otherwise I'd reply to this.
