Viable Tie Ace Build?

By dman busta, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Trying to find a new ace build to bring to a local tournament next week.

I've had a lot of fun with these ships, but not sure how great they will all synergize together. Looking for thoughts on how to fill out remaining points. It's an all offensive show with this build that hopes to burn a ship down quickly before breaking formation and doing it's own thing.

TIE Striker: · "Pure Sabacc" (22)
Veteran Instincts (1)
Lightweight Frame (2)
Adaptive ailerons (0)

TIE/sf Fighter: · "Quickdraw" (29)
Fire Control System (2)
Lightweight Frame (2)
Special Ops Training (0)

TIE Phantom: · "Whisper" (32)
Veteran Instincts (1)
Fire Control System (2)
Advanced Cloaking Device (4)

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks!

Give Quickdraw an Elite upgrade, it is more important than LWF. I prefer Expertise, but with Baffle so it can't be shut down.

Give QuickDraw "Draw Their Fire" to potentially loose a shield when someone targets Saboc.

Downgrade Saboc's VI to either adaptability or trick shot, PS 8 isn't that good and the points can be better elsewhere.

Give Whisper Agent Kallus, or Rebel Captive

It's also not terrible to put "A Score to settle" on Quickdraw. It's free, and you can put it on a ship that has little incentive to shoot at QD.

I agree give QD a score to settle, and I would also if you have 3 points left in your list personally put rebel captive on Whisper to deter your opponent from firing at her.

I'd put Intel on Whisper and AS2S or Trick Shot on QD, and keep two points of bid. Bid is REALLY important when running Whisper, especially when PS9s are coming back into the meta a lot more than they were 3 to 6 months ago.
