Are you sick of all the debate on the forums about flotillas? Then don't read what I just wrote:

I tried to take in all of the various viewpoints getting expressed and put them together in some kind of logical order.
Why? Mostly as an exercise in understanding the debate.
Oh yeah, it's really long.

That's not as easy to quantify, though, as one flotilla is 2 Z95s plus an expanded hangar bay. Or 2 TIEs and Captain Needa/Minister Tua. They HELP, but their major impact seems to be more ship count based.

Really great sumation of most, if not all, sides of the debate. I can see both sides. I have never played against some of these 3-4 flotilla fleets, but I can imagine they could be unfun to play against.

I don't know what FFG is going to do, or when they will finally tell us, but I think we are going to see some kind of rule change either in regards to flotilla or the ramstrocity.

Most importantly, thank you for putting this together in a clear manor. No emotion, just facts, with your own opinion mixed in. Very well written.

I've been loving my Flechette Raiders. Very useful against heavier-squadron fleets and Rieekan in particular. Any squadrons with enough hull are great candidates for nap time but Intel squadrons and heavy bombers in particular are my favorite naughty children to put in time out.
