Having tussled with a few distributor issues (oh God, Destiny has been a nightmare) at my FLGS, I 100% understand. You're at the mercy of the distributor, they're at the mercy of the suppliers, those are at the mercy of other factors... when things aren't available, you're generally powerless to do much about it.

I feel sad.... FFG have been good a getting really useful cards out in their prize kits now we get this........ Was the criteria a balance of most useless linked with highest number available.

So this lovely rapid reload card can join the other 10 in my folder......

Awing card would be ok, but as a participation prize not as third place. The only bright side is the turn dial.

i hanker for the old days of ship or fighter cards for participating, really cool ship cards for higher places and plastic for the top four.

Im just feeling FFG are not putting in the love with their new shop tourneyment kits.

I've been toying with rapid reload on a JJ vsd-1 dominator and so far it's sucked, but this card makes me want to try again.

I have. Just not often and only once used "well". It was an 3xMC30 fleet that just targeted piling on raw damage. No APTs

Whatever card is the "pile of upgrades" has traditionally been used as the participation prize in my experience. So in this case it's Rapid Reload.

It is, funny TO story is the kit disappeared during the GNK last week, rumour is no one actually cared and went home happy regardless.

Considering these kits are basically designed to run with the "Fleet Patrol" setup - Rapid Reload is your Participation prize, since they go in for Top 16 or Top 8.

If you're holding a tournament that's more than 16 players - odds are, you're not just using a single kit - you have some other prize support.

At least, I personally believe you should - unless the Tournament is a full revenue raiser for you.

I run it all the time on my MC-30 "Hammer" Task Force. APT's are nice, but an extra black die (2 with CF) generally messes up your opponent's day
