Ship wish listing
Have faith. We'll get there one day.
It's a lot worse than a jumpmaster with the punishing one title, mainly because of the lackluster upgrade bar.
I think we should go with Clone wars first. However it would be interesting to see some prequel and KOTOR ships, maybe like how the sequels have that <tech> slot we could give those older ship an <atrifact> upgrade slot to give those more sluggish ships a boost.

That and a Star Destroyer, then maybe a Dreadnought Heavy cruiser (as Imperial Neb-B counterpart) and Mon Calamari Star Cruiser.

now if only the Nebulon B at 270 scale wasn't over a metre long... and an imperial star destroyer wasn't nearly 6...

lol if you think scale is an issue, I just had a discussion about the size of the Lancer Class Shadow Caster in comparison with the rest of X-wing ships and that is in the so called standard scale. I was wondering why that ship which model is larger than the YV-666 couldn't carry Jabba the Hutt. Found out that scale doesn matter.
The Nebulon will be fine at 15" long. The Star destroyer can be 30" and the game will be just fine. If you really want to cry about how the scale looks so off, I could show you Armada,
The way I'd love to see the Nebulon (and the Star Destroyer and the Eravana) handled is to make them into 6x3 (or two 3x3) playmats, and package them with a mission each - you can use the playmats as playmats with cools scenery, or they'd come with some tokens to represent specific parts of the ships concerned with matching artwork, and a mission about protecting those bits/destroying those bits/stealing those bits/whatever.
@Marinealver everything to date in x-wing is at 270 scale (or within 10 of it) whereas everything in armada is to "relative" scale, where things look bigger or smaller than things that are bigger or smaller than them in relative terms. It's a whole different thing.
The Naboo N-1 Starfighter is pretty much the top of my list at the moment. Give the Rebels a cheap(ish) 3 Attack ship akin to the Protectorate or TIE Striker.

- GR-75 Medium Transport
- CR-90
- YT-2400
- Hound's Tooth
- Shadow Caster
(I'm not going to say Imperial Raider because there is no such model scaling that exists outside of FFG but apparently that is at 1/399 scaling)
Besides relax, Nebulon-B and Star Destroyers would only be available in Epic, if it bothers you that much, simply don't play it and stick to your little 100/8/3 standard format.
@Marinealver my bad about the scaling, I should've double checked http://www.rebelscale.com/scale-lists/fantasy-flight/
that being said, 15" for a nebuloun B is nearly at 800:1 scale and puts it only slightly larger than the Raider, which it's supposed to be twice the size of.
There's already a game for capital ships, Armada is great fun and the relative scale works well for ships of that size, but not for the squadron based combat, especially without throwing all pretence of scale out the window.

Do you play Epic?
If you play Armada then good for you. However as you mentioned that game already had to throw scaling out the window. Now sure putting those ships in will have to reduce the scale considerable to 800:1 or even 1000:1 and even a 30" long model might be a little too crowded in a 3'x6' play area. We could bring that up to 6'x6'. For me as long as a Neb-b is larger than a Cr-90 and a Star Destroyer is larger than a Neb-B I find that good enough for scaling. At least it isn't like Attack wing where the Galaxy class model is larger than the Romulan Warbird model.
@Marinealver I do play epic, and i do play armada. The problem with dragging larger and larger ships into the mix with greater deviations in scale, is that aside from the game becoming more abstracted in the same way armada is, is the possibility of slowing down the game as the relative points increase to allow for a ship of that size and power.
I like @thespaceinvader 's idea of having a custom playmat for a star destroyer to play a game over, defending key points and having a launch bay etc. That retains the focus on smaller ship combat and lets you bring in the big guns (maybe using the turbo laser rules from HOTAC)
...should I post the picture of my CR-90 - scale Nebulon B again?

You do realize some of us here are Americans, right? Could you please express lengths in more archaic units like feet (or cubits)?

the nebulon B would be over 3.5 ft and the imperial 1 class star destroyer would be about 20ft
(edited spelling, damned autocorrect)
Edited by kitandthevoicesThe top of my wishlist, unlikely as it is, remains the Rogue Shadow.

Because gameplay > fluff. He could technically fit in any scum large bases ship, doesn't mean he would be comfortable or it was designed to have passengers in it. The lancer isn't meant to be spacious, it's not a cargo or passenger ship. It is meant for combat.
As for scale, I would hate to see the awesomeness that a nebulon is be shrunk down to be the same size as a Corvette. It would actually ruin the experience for me personally and probably cause me not to play it. Same with a Star destroyer, actually more so.
For a wish list ship? Any of the SWG scum ships and their variants.

Blastila with her battle meditation would be a powerful card, and I'd be disappointed if Revan wasn't a useful crew too.
My wishlist currently is the Nightbrother (Maul's Kom'rk Fighter), The Raven's Claw, The Rogue Shadow, and I'll take the Ebon Hawk too.
XG-1 "Star Wing" Assault Gunboat
Belbullab-22 starfighter
ETA-2 Interceptor
Yt-2000 Otana

In all fairness though if I can't afford a to scale Zeppelin rigid airship for my Wings of Glory, somehow I don't think I'll be able to afford a Nebulon B Frigate.
