Happy Friday and good weekend to you fine people. Saturday is April fools day which means the internet and social media is completely worthless so like the title of this post don't believe anything.

This weeks question is, which side do you play more of Imp or Rebels?

I play Rebels the majority of the time. I blame the X-Wing PC game and the X-Wing novels.

My wife is usually rebels so I get the empire by default. Kinda like the rebels more though. Can't wait for the Borg faction expansion releasing this weekend though.

The Imperial Star Destroyer has always been one of my favorite space ships, so I've been a big fan of Imperials. Also, I absolutely love the Raider and think that the smal, darting ships of the empire are generally pretty cool. When it comes to tournaments or thematic battles, I prefer to play the Empire. That said, I also enjoy occasional games as the Rebels and like to keep a collection both for upgrades and for the use of my opponents.

Rebels, all the way. Sorry but my dad was a cop, so i always root for the good guys. I will confess however that the one time i did play Imperial, when i 1-shotted a CR-90 that made the mistake of getting too close to my VSD, being bad felt awfully good

I want dem AA A-Wings coming out. Also AA rapid reload is ehhhh I hope those were fake....

Exclusively Rebels (I don't even own a single Imperial ship)... It was an 'agreement' I came to with the boss to allow me to start yet another miniatures game!

Looking forward to the new alt at A-wings from the Q2 kit: I hear they can take Ordnance upgrades. Squads can't resolve crits, of course, but stacking them with the new rapid reaload alt art cards is gonna be a blast.

I play both. I usually fall in lovr with one sied for a while, then I got a potential build for the another 8n my mind.

I'm a Rebel player predominantly, but given my all time regional record with Rebels is something like 1 for 9 as Rebel, I may need to rethink my strategy.

I like the game. I never said I was good at it.

Empire. I like the look of their ships better and setting up one or two big hits with a front arc is more my style of play than the 'thousand cuts' approach a lot of Rebel lists seems to use. I also find it easier to build squadron lists with them because they tend to be more neatly divided in to attacking squadrons or ships, while Rebels have more versatile squadrons (that are costed accordingly). I find I have an easier time sorting out what counts as enough anti-ship squadrons when I'm building Imperial lists, and Rhymer simplifies the problem of how to get my bombers on target quickly.

I go both ways.

I prefer to play Imperials because I've always liked the Star Destroyer and the design of Imperial ships.

My win-loss ratio is much better when playing as Rebels, however.

But to answer the prompt, I play Imperials more as a rule, especially since most of the others I know prefer Rebels, but of late I have been dabbling in them more and more as well.

I prefer imps (go raiders!!!), but in my area, most play imps so I go Rebs more often.

Went through the usual April fool's gag yesterday with the Chinese kids, where the teachers try to unite and persuade them that something western has been banned by the Chinese government, complete with faked social media posts. This year it was Lay's crisps. We had students panic-buying them from the tuck shop by morning break, and spent the afternoon trying to get them to be more critical of what people tell them.

That wasn't funny even in Attack Wing. Borg destroyed what steady fanbase Attack Wing had when they were released, and I heard they haven't really recovered.

I'm usually Empire... I love this game for the notion of commanding heavy ships with large batteries hammering opponents into space dust. That hasn't happened since mid wave 2, though not through lack of trying. I seem to be on a new track of running three Gladiators in varying lists though, let's see how many people like getting hammered with three of them. I still maintain a healthy rebel force though, just not often doubling up in expansion packs.

Primarily Empire, but have been dabbling in Rebel scum lately.
