So if who do you think we will get as aces in the future? For the Tie Defender ace I think we will get the mustached test pilot of the prototype.
Edit: Vult Skerris is his name

I very seriously doubt we'll ever get him, but Rookie One would be a fun b-wing or y-wing ace. (stolen Phantom?)
But I don't think rebel assault II will get much love from FFG lol
Y wings: Horton, Pops, Wedge Antilles
A wings: Arvyl, Wedge Antilles
B wings: Hera, Wedge Antilles

We are Wedge.

Wedge; the Sabine of Armada?
I'd really like to see Garven Dries, red leader during the battle of Yavin.
Iron Squadron (The Rebels YT-2400)
I am surprised no one has said Hobbie
Juno Eclipse from the force unleashed game? Could be imp or rebel as it happens.
We so need Anton Merrick - Blue Leader at Scarif
Give him speed four/bomber/no escort, and other friendly squads within D1 of him may increase their speed by 1 (to max 5) until end of turn; to represent Blue squadron (mostly) making it through the shield gate in time.

Yay! Infinite speed B-Wings!

Do we want to end up like X-Wing with a billion Ace pilots? Should we hope for a limited 1, 2 , 6 aces per ship? I think certain ships should not have but 1 ace while others could see more. YT-1300, I am good having Solo the only Ace; I don't think we should see Solo, Chewie and Lando all on the board all in the Falcon at the same time. X-Wing and TIEs I am good with 3-5 Aces. I would be good with some of these just being special squadrons like the CC pilots.

Hey - I like the idea of infinite speed B-wings
Considering how battles tend to play out - it would be a lot of points dedicated to just getting a a smallish number of squads engaged once - whether it happens on turn one or turn four they are likely going to jump out once and then stay roughly where they are. If someone can pull that off and make it pay then more power to them.
Merrick would help B-wings chase faster ships, no doubting that.

I don't have the card around to check but it is as easy as making Milenary Falcon a unique name.

I agree. I mean, does Biggs really need to be a ace squadron? If for no other reason than he wasn't very ace in Star Wars! ?
Aces should be a captain or someone who has commanded a squadron as a rule.
He wears a cape, dude.
That makes him an ace by the rules of fashion!

If The Incredibles taught us anything, it should be Never Wear a Cape.
If Freddy Mercury taught us anything, it's that with a Biggs'tache you can absolutely wear capes

I thought it taught me to always know where my super suit is.
Wouldn't Rookie One be crew to Ru Murleen as a pilot? At least in a Phantom?

Eh subjective.... you play the whole game as rookie one, except for the one x-wing mission....
I'd say he was the pilot, wasn't Ru just a spy?
but maybe

She is an Advanced pilot in Xwing.
Poe Dameron?

Nah, Ru was introduced as a pilot in the first Rebel Assault. Go to 58:30. First thing Rookie One says when they board the TIE is "So far, so good. Can you fly this thing?" to which Ru replies "I think so." Later on, Rookie One questions where she is piloting the two of them when the manufacturing facility is revealed, and she tells you to "hang on to those blaster controls." I figure this was a way to explain why you mainly just control the guns and a little dodging, instead of fully piloting the ship. They do this to some extent in many of the other missions. In the speeder bike level, you are following Ru and keeping Mynocks off her. In the first level, you are following behind your flight leader. Etc., etc.. When I re-played RA2 for the first time in many years, I was surprised by some of this, too.
They also never say "TIE Phantom" in RA2. The Rebels would just call them "phantom TIEs" based off the V38 bomber. But players started calling them TIE Phantoms, and so did Petroglyph Studios when they made Forces of Corruption. It seems unlikely to me that Rebels would be so on the nose with their unofficial designation, but hey, it became legends/canon. :-P The phantom TIE is also never seen firing its wingtip lasers. When I was a kid, I figured the cloaking device required space and power that would normally be dedicated to a lot of weapons. Legends also had a very good explanation behind why their cloaking devices worked so well, and the implications that had.
Of course, the game is a silly arcade game, but I am still really just glad the TIE Phantom made it into X-Wing - it's too cool not to, and the game was pretty great for the time.

Yeah, she is, and with a really solid ability. But I'd still like to see her in X-Wing in the Rogue Shadow as an Imperial/Rebel ship. Not gonna happen, though - TFU can't fit into the new canon.
