I think there should just be a whole X-Wing Alliance wave:
R-41 for Scum, Gunboat for Imps, YT-200 Otana for Rebels

I dunno, the ones in the films tend to blow up when shot just like the ones on the table.

At least the ones in the film can destroy stuff effectively when flown by pilots other then biggs and porkins....

I'd like to see the BTL-B Y-wing. Make up some BS retrofit story for it like the ARC.

There's this new Phantom shuttle from Rebels. Unless FFG only planned one wave to be a Relebs' tie-in, than that's a pretty obvious choice.

Kinda sad the Rogue 1 releases only focused on 2 new designs, and none of the numerous X or Y pilots were considered. Especially comparing them to the total screen time and plot significance of TIE Strikers...

I'd also like to see the LAAT (space version). If they can cram Sabine everywhere, they can make this happen too. Retrofits everywhere!

A movie tie-in is inevitable. They are scraping the bottom of the Rebel barrel at the moment. The Aussie Truck is possibly a way to introduce the Reinforce function for X-Wings.

Of all the potential fixes for ships, this is the one I like the least.

I get how it can work on any ships with the mechanics as the rules specify in or out of arc. But it just feels like it should only be available to those with a 180 arc.

Given there are already 8 named X-Wing pilots, I don't think we need more. Unless it's a PS5/6 generic with an EPT slot.
More Y pilots would be nice tho.

It's not like the TFA era where the Resistance is clearly the Rebellion and FO clearly Empire.
You could argue that the Republic fits both sides and the Separatists neither.

EP8 will bring at least a new A-Wing. While I don't expect it (sadly) it could also bring in new ship designs.

It's also rumoured to be bringing a new TIE Advanced-esque thing (Kylo's personal fighter) based on the concept art for the TIE/SF.

That thing did look pretty cool, would be a shame not to use it.

It's not Rebel though.

Until Sabine steals it anyway

Barring that, I think 2 things:

1. Try to divide them equally.

2. Check the lore for "predispositions." Like I said above, Vader flew a V-Wing, so give that to Imps. The Aethersprite is Jedi, and therefore clearly Rebel (the good guys). Confederacy ships could go to the Scum as military surplus/stolen booty. N-1 Naboo is "good guys," so Rebels. Sith Interceptor is "bad guys," so Imperial.

3. Scurrg it. For example, the ETA-2 was a Jedi ship, so Rebel. BUT, Anakin had one and became Vader, so the Imps get a pilot card for Vader only.

I kind of thought we're focusing on the Rebel fighters here.

As far as TIEs go, the announcement of Aggressor has already shown they're ready to open the bottomless TIE-Obscure box.
