I was searching for indication of what time line they are using for the FFG release? Will this reset things to Day of Thunder time frames, or move into the future?
Have they mentioned time line?
We are all spending our time on these forums wildly speculating about this, but as of yet there has been no official announcement.
All we know about the game mechanics are:
1. There will be a game.
2. It will be previewed and/or premiered at GenCon 2017.
That's it.

3. Announcement (maybe even previews) on April 19th.
They mentioned the colonies. But that was basically 2 years ago and used to placate surprised fans. I wouldn't trust it.
At GAMA they decided not to show the picture of a fan of cards that they had prepared, because one of them would spoil the timeline location of the game.
Personally, I reckon it's just pre-Scorpion Clan Coup: classic RPG time, and in an alternate reality.
the harriers would be around (that's if they keep that thematic concept)
I adored the harrier concept....

this is speculation. they said one of them would set off rampant speculation and they "know how the fans work" and didn't want that yet. it could be that all the others were one kind, and that was a personality, or a stronghold. or it could be that one was named, and yeah, it gave away a timeperiod. but we have no way at all of knowing for sure that this is the case.
Can't check right now, but I'm pretty sure they outright called it a spoiler and while you're right that it might spoil a card type, the word *is* typically used for story...
i just rewatched it, and the context was a question about if FFG would be continuing AEG's lore. Horvath said they'd talk about that on the 19th, then said they had planned to show a fan of cards, but one of them was a character that was a spoiler. so we're both half right. the card seems like it would have spoiled how FFG is handling lore, which may or may not include which timeline the game will take place in, if there is some kind of reboot happening.
