It's small base only
You've got 38 points for one small base ship. What do you bring?

Yep, could go on for a while
Another option could be Red Ace w/R2-D2, Comm Relay and AT's. Pretty tanky for 38 pts

Yah, Red Ace is going to be solid in a furball type engagement because you HAVE to focus fire on her to stand a chance of taking her down.
I'd probably put IA instead of ATs though; in this format there probably won't be an awful lot of turrets.
No-one survives this.
Pure Sabacc
Expose
Adaptive Ailerons
Lightweight Frame
Add Range 1 and mix well. I played this and couldn't get hit because I killed everyone before they could shoot.

Ion them on the initial pass (relying on your 8 health to survive), get behind them, and ping them to death.
How about something silly?

Nothing threatening here, right?

Everyone seems to turn to TIE D/X7 when using the Countess, but in a single match, getting off two shots has to beat snarfing up evades:
Countess Ryad (34) Ion Cannon, TIE/D, Lightning Reflexes for 38pts. Or up her PS with VI. Not big damage with the cannon but it strips evades/focus tokens at a minimum and controls where the defender is going to be for a follow up with two more shots.

Or if you're expecting some turrets you could trade out Sensor Cluster and IA for Autothrusters

I'd take Miranda. Hands down the thoughest ship to pin down and kill.
as I mainly play Imps I would go with one of these two options
The Inquisitor - 25
Juke - 2
Tie/V1 - 1
Autothrusters - 2
total - 30 (room for a missile if you want one)
Maarek Stele - 35
Veteran Instincts - 1
Tie/X7 - -2
Stealth Device - 3
total - 37
Here's something that did not stick when thrown at the wall:
StarViper: · Guri (30)
Push The Limit (3)
Autothrusters (2)
· Virago (1)
Fire Control System (2)
-- TOTAL ------- 38p. --
Focus, TL, Barrels, and Boosts. If you can get into R1, you get a free focus. It's probably terrible, but given that it has both boost and barrel roll natively, might be worth something. Only real downside is that Guri is PS5, so not a real arc-dodger.

I would bring Vader. Would be too much fun to pass up.
TIE Advanced: •Darth Vader (38)
Engine Upgrade (4)
TIE/x1 (0)
Expertise (4)
Advanced Targeting Computer (1)
Could change out Expertise for Juke, VI + Prockets.
The slipperiest B-wing:
Ibitsam (28)
sensor jammer (4)
Elusiveness (2)
E-2 mod (1)
C-3po (3)
Total: 38
Turn one of their hits to a focus. Make them re-roll a hit. Get an evade with 3po, then re-roll your defense die if you want. Laugh as the laser fire rolls off of you. Cry as they dodge out of your arc. Repeat
