SJ: change a crit to a hit and a hit to an eye.
Ideas for FAQ Buffing terrible upgrades.
How about we breathe some new life into that one guy. You know, the one who inspired our love of Star Wars and X-Wings in the first place?
Luke Skywalker (pilot) : When defending you may add 1 evade result to your roll.
Luke Skywalker (crew): After you perform an attack that does not hit, you may immediately perform a primary weapon attack. You may add one hit result to your roll. You cannot perform another attack this round.
And while we're at it, can we please make our next alt-art promo card a copy of Luke (crew) in his black RotJ getup? Come on FFG, it's long over due.
You know that it is very difficult of making these changes because we dont know what lays in the future, but obiosly there is some cards that would need little kick to be better choices. But in the other hand I would like to ask a question, when was last time anyone trided to build some lists incluiding some of the OPs cards, like Sabouteur, just to point out that some of these cards could do well in well build squads..?
I'm guess almost all 'action' upgrades need to be non-action? That seems to be one them.

Wouldn't make a lot of sense to me as RotJ never really gets involved in any kind of space conflicts. Now maybe as a new upgrade that "gets captured" and then does something nasty to the enemy but I just don't see it as an option for our current pilot or crew versions.

Luke crew with the Tyderium rebel expansion, he has a bad feeling about things but keeps ships from attacking since they want to capture him instead.

I had been thinking about this for Rebel Captive. I can understand the reasoning for giving a stress to any attacker. However, from my experience of watching Star Wars if you capture a Rebel they will escape and will probably blow up your ship on the way out.
Clear FFG bias.

Then what would Youngster do?

Same thing he does now, sit on the bench.
I would pay FFG for this one:
(Come on FFG, do you accept bribes? No, seriously ...)
Raymus Antilles (crew)-
Large
and Huge ships only.
An almost a perfect counter to the Defenders, while still on the pricey side. (And GREAT on Eaden Vrill!!) A point reduction would be nice as well, but I don't think it would be required.

R3 Astromech
Once per round, when attacking with a primary weapon, you may cancel 1 of your focus results
and reroll 1 blank result
during the "Modify Attack Dice" step to assign 1 evade token to your ship.

Hmm. I've never looked very close at this card. At 6 points, you have to wonder- why isn't he available in 100 point play?

Would be interesting. I haven't though about huge ship only upgrades because I haven't consider them in the standard meta because they simply were not there.
So my question is which ship or gameplay style is this going to help (or are you trying to help), the ORS?

It would open up a few play options. Mainly to give trouble to the TIE Defenders and their White K-turns, or the White S-Loops of the Jumpmasters.
As stated, Eaden Vrill would become useful. (I keep trying to make him viable, thats why I looked at this combo to begin with.)
+
Have a U-Wing + Raymus + Cassian
Or
U-Wing + Raymus + BoShek
Or
YT-1300 + Snuggling Compartments + BMST + Raymus + Cassian (Or BoShek)
On the flip side of things, Aces would remain pretty much the same, staying on Green. It would discourage Kanan's ability of stress relieving on white.
