FFG Online Sales Policy?

By Elliphino, in Runewars Miniatures Game

Does anyone have any info on FFG's recent-ish update to its online sales policy? I thought that they had reduced the discount that could be offered online, but as I'm tracking some X-Wing and BattleLore products on Amazon, I see the prices going up and and up with only 3rd party sellers at many times the price attached, some products going unavailable at all.

I had heard some buzz about a new policy to advantage stores and B&M retail because they support organized play and build communities. And while I appreciate and respect that strategy, it doesn't help me out at all being that I am almost solely a basement player, save for the odd tournament at a convention. Obviously another big concern is whether I'll be able to stock my army at the discount I am used to at Amazon and with the points and gift cards I've been saving up over there.

From my observations, the old discounts used to be about 33% of the MSRP while the new online prices are approximately 25% of the MSRP. But that's all I know on the subject.

Yeah, that happened a while back, and it was Asmodee, not FFG specifically. Really, it just brings online prices closer to what you'll see in B&M. Amazon will still be cheaper than MSRP.

Thanks! @MysteriousRacerX, What's B&M?

Ha! Never mind, my own dang acronym... Brick and Mortar... I'm losing my mind today. I think I'll go back to bed.

Brick and Mortar

Buns and Marmalade. Delicious, but I'm not sure how they apply here.

Actually, I was referring to Bolliger & Mabillard, the famous Swedish roller coaster design team.

Boobs & Moobs.

It's an old parable used to tell how two similar things can be good or bad based on context.

It's a budget store in the UK that sells a bit of everything. ?

I'm not going to live this down soon, am I?

I prefer FLGS (Friendly Local Gaming Store)
