I was curious if there was any way we could find out how successful CC has been for FFG. If it met expectations, fell short or shattered them. I know Armada is the redheaded child - the redhead stepchild of SW FFG is the LCG, but it would be nice to to hear some feedback from them, especially if sales were good enough for them to plan future campaigns.
How Successful is Corellian Conflict?
Well. How can the sells be this good for it? You need only one box. There is no need to buy a second one. Not like the ships, where you can take 2, 3, 4, or even more of the same ship.
So from the pure selling numbers, this box will not do any records.
But it is fun to play. A really great concept. But, at least for our region, it did not what was the idea of it. Bringing player together to make a campaign in the local stores. one reason might be, that the Corellain Conflict Cards are not available in germany. So the big selling part for local stores failed because of this.
But i know a lot who are doing the campaign with the own group. We are doing as well right now. And it is fun. Even when it need to tweaks with house rules.
Locally it seems like almost every regular player bought their own CC box, even though I only know of two actual campaigns underway at local stores. It added a lot of excitement to the local Armada community as well.
I call it a success, I only hope they continue to reprint it so future new players have the chance to pick it up as well.
I think it probably met their goals. Which bodes well. I have no non anecdotal evidence to support that tho.
It would help if they'd ship the **** OP support before interest has completely dried up...
OP support?
The tournament kit with full art squadrons cards and faction specific objective cards.

Organized Play.
There are, ostensibly, AA cards and what-have-you going out to stores to support in-store CC's.
... Only nobody's gotten them afaik.
The original sign up for the OP kit was months before release and only through FFG. I just heard that my FLGS was able to order some from his distributor so now we may actually receive a kit.
Yes, the original sign-up was months before release.
And they're still not shipped, months after release.
Generally speaking, I don't think the campaign will sell as many units as new ships do, but on the flip side I can almost guarantee that the the costs associated with making and producing the physical product are significantly less than producing a plastic pre painted miniature.
So with that in mind, I'd think the hurdle rate for the campaign to be a smashing financial success for FFG probably isn't that high. Even if on an absolute number of units sold comparison it falls behind sales of new ship releases.
Everyone that I play with has bought one... not really for the campaign either but for the unique squadron cards.
All I can speak to is my own experience. But it has been a lot of fun. It has encouraged a gaming community rather than just a bunch of competitive tournaments in my area. It also gives me more to do during those long spans of time between actually being able to play.
My hope is that the OP kit for CC comes out soon. It would be great to get it plus a FAQ before we start a second run of the campaign.

You know I did not even know this existed and we finished one run through
I call it a huge success the sale numbers are not going to be in the cc box itself, but in how many new players a Star Wars campaign like this brought into the world of Armada. There has been an entire player base waiting for FFG to bring something like this in. Not to mention you rejuvenated enthusiasm and got people playing in off hours outside the normal organized play days that stores Set aside. This just leads to more advertising and when you explain the campaign to never before miniature players and explain to them how it works it piques interest. Honestly this is something FFG needed since day 1.
Edited by BrikhauseCC made no changes in the popularity of the game locally, but I've been unable to try and make it happen due to my schedule. Maybe this summer, possibly in the fall if things don't let up.
The lack of the OP kits is disturbing. We talked last weekend, when we realized the Q1 kits were out, and the quarter is nearly up. But we haven't heard anything about Q2's kit. That's standard tournament play kits with no concept of what's next. That is disturbing on the level of no FAQ's being released yet.

Guys
This is NORMAL for the TIME FRAME
Check the Dates it was actually Asked for as Pre-Order
Check the Dates you have to order Q1 Kits, for example.
Q2 KIT AND CC KIT ORDERS WERE BOTH IN OCTOBER
Given the "Standard" Kit Turnaround
OF SIX MONTHS
..... They're not
EXPECTED
until
AT LEAST
April.
And these will have a lower priority than the Quarterly Kits.
They're not LATE yet.

Your Distributor failed you, then. Or perhaps FFG failed them. I can't be sure.
Because from my discussions with my own International Distributor - Distributors were supposed to take pre-order-orders and pass them on to FFGHQ for processing and delivery.
There were quite a few US Distributors that were under the impression that they should be contacted for it - but that was not the case. The bulletin clearly stated that if you were in the US (which neither You and I are) you were to contact the US Sales Team at FFG Directly...
Retailers outside of the US were to contact their International Distributor.
Back in October 2016. (The 26th of October was when the FFG-OP Retailer Bulletin was sent out regarding it).
I mean, I can copy-paste the Bulletin Email (as I have many times before), but basically - the window opened, and the window closed. They were keeping the idea open as to re-opening the window at a future date - but basically... Its ~6 months from Order Finalisation to Delivery, which is the exact same timeframe as the Quarterly Kits. (Which annoys me to no end, as I'm having to budget Tournaments *AND* Leagues 6+ months ahead).

I never said it was FFGs fault that we could not order
. i know that it our distributor who failed on it. They are one year behind on everything. We still have to use the spring 2016 kit. We can not even order others.
We are getting used to being late on everything (around 3-4 month on each wave).
Somehow i was really surprised, that we did the national 2016 in the right year

Its just sad to hear overall.
It has completely jumpstarted the game In Vegas. A number of new players or old players buying more new (or even re-buying fleets after selling).

No models, all cardboard. In a miniatures game. And nearly every dedicated player bought a copy.
I'm guessing they're trying to figure out how to repeat this with every minis game they sell. Especially X-Wing.
That, and basically, its designed that i fyou want to run the Campaign a second time , you should be buying a second box.
I mean, circumventing that cost me more than what a second box would have. I won't see "return" on it until the 3rd Campaign Playthrough..
It had a good stack of objectives and some excellent squads that have had a huge impact on the game.
The campaign itself is rubbish/a slapdash afterthought imo.
