All non attack upgrades and pilot abilities lose their range restrictions. What is the meta now?

Oh, are we playing a game where you get to know your opponents list and THEN you choose what to bring? Because if I know you have 2 Upsilons and a Decimator, I bring ships that dodge Upsilon Arcs and have Autothrusters for the Decmiator. Except that this version of the game is silly, so let's get back to the hypothetical posed by the OP. =P

uh, Jax denies focus/evades for the whole game.

Pretty sure a naked Jax would be in every game and it would just float around where you cant touch it. Even being down a ship, never having to deal with focus/evades makes your firepower much stronger.

Proton bombs seem pretty ok assuming you're cool with exploding yourself too.

Sabine gets even crazier too. Bomb the deci on this side of the map, kill soontir on the other.

Also, autothrusters stop being range 3 only, so they just work everywhere.

Oh ****, I missed the upgrade part and was thinking we were just looking at pilot abilities. This is just too crazy to even think about much less fully comprehend as so many things have range restrictions for a reason and if taken away they becomes nuts.

The slightly less crazy version where all ranges were expanded one band both ways would still be nuts but at least it would keep the R1 only powers in check even as it let the R3 stuff run wild.

Yeah. Jax is pretty close to the top of the list. Also, tactician. Kanan and Kyle crew are once per turn, but still pretty crazy with no range restriction.

I've been thinking about this even without the limitless range, two Jakku Gunrunners with Proton Bomb and Dead Man's Switch, and four Binayre Pirates with Dead Man's Switch. Drop the bombs and every ship on the board takes two Faceup cards plus six damage, and you have a 12 dice final salvo. Anything with more than 8 health you should be able to primary down first.

Fenn is an attack/defense related ability, but empire would be kings, and finally win worlds for a second time "excuse us as we confiscate all of your modifications and bonuses"

3x Scimitars with proton bombs, extra munitions, and hull upgrade. And a 4th with just hull upgrade. Hopefully between the 4 of them at least one doesn't pull a direct hit and lives. But anything other than a Ghost or Deci and your 7 hull bombers is guaranteed to die on turn 2 to 6 face up damage cards.

I probably read the title wrong, sorry. I though it was "all non attack upgrades" and "pilot abilities" :-) Yeah Carnor at range 3 would generate so much hate :-)
