Battle of the Pre-Nerfs? (If all the ballance rules were rolled back who will win in Wave 10.5?)

So for a discussion here but what with all the current ship's pilots, and upgrades up into the point of the spoiled C-ROC stuff, will still be played if none of the errata nerfs existed. Notice this is nerfs not buffs so the cluster mines detonation errata will still be the same. So here's an idea call it type 1 format.

  • De-cloaking back to before revealing dial
  • Large ship no longer half points
  • Tactician loses it's limited restriction
  • Deadeye loses it's small ship only restriction
  • R4-Agromech gives Target lock even when spent with deadeye or blaster turret
  • Zuckuss, Emperor Palpatine, Manaroo, and TIEx7 have the Eratta reversed.

So with all these de-nerfs do you think any ship would make it back into the meta? Will we see a return of Fat Han or Whisper or will it be Dengaroo. Heck even though the tripple tactician-666 which was nerfed before it hit the table could even crawl on top.

For me my guess would be a dengaroo with Manaro with Inspiring recruit and Dengar with Zuckuss and the U-boat r4-deadeye combo. What would you pick?

Probably U boats vs Phantoms.

Phantoms would beat U-Boats and destroy everything else except PS11 Han - with maybe a Mangler Dash being in there as a cheap turret wingmate. Quad TLTs would have a chance of doing bad things to phantoms, but whether it's still a fair match or not... just no.

Anyone who ever says, "Wonder what would happen if the de-nerfed Phantom..?" doesn't remember how broken they were, or played them and WISHES they could still be that broken.

I'm less certain phantoms would beat uboats. With 3 large bases, you have a decent shot at blocking all of their decloak options. At which point they're high agility, but can't shoot you back, so...

No idea, but I'd like to find out. I played Magic before I played X-Wing, so I'm not so opposed to card and upgrade combos as some folks are.

Yuck I ended up hating the idea of Magic. That was all about you doing everything you want, and making sure I don't do anything I want. Nope.

Howzabout them auto blaster turrets and accuracy correctors and unlimited zuckuss.

Or you know. Counterspelllzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. And Land destruction. Wheeee.

I like this one, might be better than the double party buss with 6x tacticians. Of course the counter would be all the inspiring recruits. Cannon Fodder anyone?
