Kylo Lockdown Jank

By Stay On The Leader, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Commander Kenkirk (Decimator)
Lone Wolf / Agent Kallus / Kylo Ren / Ysanne Isard (55)

Omega Leader (TIE/fo)
A Score To Settle (21)

Lieutenant Colzet (TIE Advanced)
TIE/x1, Advanced Targeting Computer

So the basic plan is that I bring a lot of targeted effects - Kallus and A Score To Settle help me to focus down one target, while Kylo and Colzet can perma-blind another target. I'm being realistic that my fighters will go at some point so gone for Kenkirk/Isard with Lone Wolf to try and have a Decimator that doesn't automatically fall over in the endgame.

Omega Leader with A Score To Settle is a lot cheaper than the Juke/Relay version and Omega's ability mitigates the crits coming back at him. Colzet will just have to cope with getting his TLs into place at PS3 I'm afraid. The Deci build at least seems ok - Kallus and Lone Wolf give me some dice mods even when I'm using Kylo Ren to throw crits about.

I'm pretty sure that this is a lot of jank, but does anyone have experience of the pieces in here to give me some tips for flying it?

I think you're sinking too many points into your decimator at the expense of Omega Leader. Your stripped-down Omega Leader will not be able to carry your list late-game; which is where the ability shines. A Score to Settle is useful against 1 ship. after that ship is gone, you wasted OL's EPT slot.

If Jank is your objective, then lose Omega Leader, take Wampa and put Palp on the Decimator. Palp/Wampa/Colzet is pure jank. Also, you could save a point on Colzet and take FCS. FCS is a great way to fuel Colzet's ability.

Kylo Crew and Colzet is a massive jerk thing to do to people just FYI.

But if you're going to do it Colzet should be using FCS not ATC. And you should probably be using RAC not Kenkirk.

This is indeed a super janky way of doing it.

Hadn't even considered FCS, yeah that's better for that. Good shout!

Builds like this are 100% of the reasons why I like 4+ship lists.

As for this: interesting play to swap your late-game ship from OL to the Decimator. Nearly identical from a MoV standpoint, but drastically different philosophy.

My number one concern with this is that it will be tough to push a critical through before either Colzet, OL, or both go down. 2 dice primary on OL is going to make that an iffy prospect. You pretty much NEED an ATC on Colzet to get a critical through, but he can get PS killed pretty easily.
