Which Rebel list do you like more

I may be playing in a tournament and I need some input on two possible lists that I have been toying around with. One is a gun-line and the other I just came up with and have never played. Probably leaning towards the gun-line, but I wanted to get some input.

Gun-line:

The original idea for this list was a kind of Yavin 4 reunion. I played with it once and had good results, but at the time it was two Guppies (drop the scout). I was borrowing the other gup and won't be able to get my hands on it so, I thought this might work. I feel like my fighters lack intel and as a whole the fleet doesn't really specialize in one area. It should do "OK" verses squad heavy list and "Ok" verses activation list.

My second fleet, which I have never used before is:

With 5 activations it should do OK, and the Biggs/Jan ball should be able to hold its own for as long as I need it to. Major drawback is the lack of familiarity. I have never used Cracken before, but he does seem straight forward...just go fast.

Any thoughts or input would be greatly appreciated.

If going Dodonna not taking APTs on the MC30 is a crime.. 5 pts leaves 3pts left.

Drop Dutch for Nora whos 1pt more and affects all bombers to give them a buff against ships. We now have 1 pt left overall.

Drop jan and upgrade her to LUKE SKYWALKER for the last 1 pt.... reasons why:

1. Luke works like a dream with Dodonna

2. Luke has 2 braces like Jan and can also proc with biggs for his effect. (I run the biggs ride as my main ball now and luke is more valuable than 400.

3. Luke gets Nora's crit ability as well

Finally swap 1 X-wing for a YT-1300 it has escort and can easily be flown within distance 1 of biggs, use this as biggs main damage dump as it benefits from 7 hull. They're both 13 pts but the YT wins with 2 extra hull for the damage sponge

I was going to suggest Ackbar for the gun line.

Since you don't have Yavaaris or Rieekan, you could save some points by running generics instead of Aces (keeping Jan/Biggs).

And the YT is good with Biggs, but he has fast ships. The YT is not so fast.

The AF also much prefers ECM, but blast doors is good insurance against ramming, especially if you're trying to stay at range from your opponent. It's just going to hurt really bad against MC30s

as far as I can tell the Cracken list is perfect, but I'd suggest sticking with what you know for tournament play

if you keep the YT distance one behind biggs and all other escorts distance one in front the YTs speed never matters, I run two of them

Thanks guys...I'm going to have to mess with some stuff and see what i can do.

Cracken is fun, and annoys the crap out of opponents who aren't used to have all their shots obstructed. Running speed 3 and + all the time is hard sometimes, so there are occasions where it's better to start slow and speed up as you're about to get shot. But, he works super well with ships who want to stay at range and pepper with red dice, that's why my own list uses 2 CR90s and 2 MC30s, but yours is just as good IMO. AFs can go speed 3 without too much issue, although there might be a round or 2 where you want to go slower for the first few shots.

that's my own list that I'll probably use next time. Once the MC30s do their black range pass, they'll act as expensive version of arquittens with enhanced armament.
