Here's my big write up on my blog with some battle reports in it... but all and all I really enjoyed the System Open. Meta was a little Ghost heavier than expected. I went 4-3... lost the last one to not advance, but still had a great time.
My favorite battle was a tie between a near mirror match (I was running Vader, Quickdraw, and Inquisitor with Quickdraw adaptability down to 8 so Vader could Squad Leader actions to her). Came down to my wounded Quickdraw vs a fresh Vader... but I pulled it off (little luck never hurt)... and the other match was a 1 hull Inquisitor facing down a VCX, with a docked shuttle and a Biggs with shields and won that one too. Good times, but in both of those matches it was too bad someone had to lose... head hurt a bit too... like poker and chess at the same time
