Boardwars.eu VASSAL Tournament Recap - Lists and Logs

By jacenat, in Imperial Assault Skirmish

There was talk of replays making it to youtube? Not sure if that happened?

There are ten replays in total, from each stage of the tournament, that have been uploaded to YouTube with commentary by boardwars.eu

Sry, didn't include it here because I already linked all the videos in the other thread. For others who are searching, here is the link to the Youtube Playlist.

Interesting to see so many e-Weequays. They get almost no play in my area which tends to be dominated by e jets and rebel Jedi.

The eWeequays are very good. I don't think they're over-the-top, but they are certainly competitive pieces.

They're often compared to the rHK Droids, but they cost 1 less. Having 6 Health on the Weequays over the HKs' 5 Health can be significant. If you can give the Weequays both the Focus and Hidden conditions they can be great...especially with those dynamite Hunter cards. But honestly, a Focused HK Assassin Droid is just as dangerous...and doesn't require an action to become Hidden each round. I think the main benefit of Weequays over HKs (other than the Health boost and -1 Cost) is that the Weequays have better Surge abilities than HKs do; the result is that HKs really want to roll natural damage (not surges) on their dice, while the Weequays are often happier with either damage or surges.

I expect that we'll start to see the rHKs get used a lot more again once the new Droid wave is released.
