Ello is awful, why make him the pilot? Why not Nien Nunb, at least, who also sees zero play but is a bigger character with a better ability, at least.

Tactician is weird, as it's a Limited crew. The art also looks uninspiring... why is she collecting dragonball?

Evade tokens...again...but why are they rectangular? Who wants rectangular tokens?

I don't know if it's just the light/angle, but that Tactician looks really great, dark and moody (I really like Baroque portraits). And I've heard Ello Asty is really fun to play; this might let me give him a whirl!

Well, good, it means I can have a break from the tourney scene for awhile. I've been burned out lately anyhow, I guess, so silver lining.

I hope FFG continues to put out alts of pilots no one plays, as a subtle troll to people who only go to tournaments to get the shiny new thing , as opposed to actually wanting t fly X-Wangs.

I do think the square evades look a little like ass, though. Maybe acrylic crit tokens?

I actually like the Tactician art a lot. But the t-70 has 3 alt arts now? I love rebels and all but thats enough I think.

Those square evade tokens are ugly. Who prefers messy square stuff with corners to the perfection that is a circle .

In all seriousness, Ello isnt bad but hes insanely specific in his use. Prior to Nien i used him a ton because he was the only pilot that did what i felt the T70 needed: the ability to rebound on people quickly and not be a sitting duck for it. Pattern Analyzer kinda nullified that perk. Still, i'd rather just not be stressed at all than get an action and then get stressed. Ive done it with Nien but its difficult due to the limitation, but perma-3Trolling when you can pull it off is hilarious.

I think squares are quite beautiful, with 4 equal sides and 4 equal angles to match the conformity of the play mat, ship base and cardinal directions. Of course their ugly cousin the rectangle (like the evade tokens pictured) can take a hike.

Seems like they do the junk for the quarterly kits and save the good stuff for the premier events.

I want the Ello and Tactician(s). Zero interest in the evades though. My son may want the evades though, but he's 7, so what does he know?

Luckily, we spread the swag around in local tournaments, with higher ranked getting first pick of 1 thing. I got my Ketsu, I'll get my Ello!

Those evade tokens are ugly. I'd hoped they would do some focus and evades in the black acrylic they used for cloak tokens and system open prizes next but if that ever happens it's a long way off now.

The new format for the kits has been really disappointing so far. There's no first place prizes, the number of tokens has been cut back and the quality of the tokens in the Q1 kit was poor. These tokens don't look much better. The alt arts look great, but I'd have preferred something other than another T-70 pilot so soon after the regional kits.

Which sucks for players that do not have premier events convenient to them or are not competitive enough to want to spend $20 and several hours travel time for a decent alt art card at Regionals.

The simple answer is don't enter. Save your $ and you won't have a crappy card that you won't use anyway.
