"Howlrunner" (23) - TIE Fighter

howleunner helps the raider.

I wonder if your fighter screen is big enough. Howlie will die pretty quickly. Also your Raider doesn't have much long range capability. Energy use is going to be an issue too. I think Navigator is illegal for Epic ships. Gunner presents a problem in that if you use him you might foregoe your other secondaries.

Call me old school, but a swarm of TIE fighters is scary. You get more red dice, more green dice and blockers. Strip the Raider down a little more, give it a Turbo Laser, then add one or two aces to flank.

Edit:

Though.... running 4 D's could be fun. Get behind the line and lay waists.

Fascinating build.

Howlrunner will NOT die quick since she's flying close support of the Raider. If they shoot at her... Good!

The Defenders are frightening. You might run into trouble vs a true swarm, but they are effective, no argument there.

The Raider though. Wow. Ok, Navigator is not permissible by epic tournament rules, which are better rules to play epic by. Energy and rocks are better there too. Very short ranged fire but unexpected. It might be enough to help shred fighters at close range. It might not. Also not sure you'll get as much use of gunner as you might think. Hilariously, tactician might be fun though!

I'd say run the list and let us know how it works.

@LagJanson gives some good advice. If you drop your crew for Tactician and Rear Admiral Chiraneau (crew), you can get the jump to range 2 to stress things better. The other option is Mara Jade, which pairs nicely with Ionization Reactor to give the brutal stress+ion at range 1, though that's one-time use (Mara Jade will get to proc multiple times, which still may be pretty good). The Glaives should do some work, and be hard to take down. I like it.
