C&C - First tournament since Wave 2, 500 points

Please give me some last minute critiques on my list that I will be flying tomorrow afternoon. Idea is for 2 AF2s and the flagship to kite while Gallant Haven the flotilla and bombers get in close, Gallant Haven spam navigates until it needs to start healing. The only other ships I own are an MC30 and 2 Neb Bs, and only have The Rogue and squadron 2 pack for now. My 3rd AF2 came from a trade with no upgrades and I got Ackbar for a dollar, so no Home One. Started out with more squadrons and less upgrades on the gunnery frigates so Ackbar went in the CR90 with the idea of staying on the edge of the battle and escaping if necessary, but not sure if that's right or if one of the non-Haven Frigates should be flag.

I'm not sure where to put Ackbar in all honesty. A CR90 with TRCs is an awfully expensive pleasure cruise, and not a survivable one if it gets caught out (e.g. Demolisher). I would think either one of the kiting Assault Frigates or potentially (read: this is not necessarily a great idea) Bright Hope, though ideally if you were to do that you'd want Major Derlin on the flotilla for that tactic. Either way, ditch the Engineering Team, anything putting damage cards on a CR90 almost certainly has it dead to rights.

You really really don't want Most Wanted on this fleet. You don't really have an expendable cheap ship to throw it away on, and you're already hurling fistfuls of dice through Fishface. Better would be Precision Strike (every squadron save Jan is Bomber). Fleet Ambush is also alright, though Hyperspace Assault to drop a kiting Frigate could potentially work very well, contingent on the other guy not having Strategic to mess you up there. Contested Outpost could create a lure for you to build your maneuvers around, but you need to be sure to make up the losses in VPs in destructions. Superior Positions is probably the best blue for this fleet, since Solar Corona makes ECM wasteful.

My only other comment is make sure you have a plan to maneuver the squadrons. I only count five squadron activations diving with the squadrons (Gallant Haven and Bright Hope before tokens), and you just need to be wary about positioning them. E-wings are quick, and X-wings are decent, but be careful about the distance loss if a poor maneuver overlaps a handful before you have a chance to make up ground. I would also be tempted to trade Engineering Captain for Flight Controllers, just to make clearing out an enemy screen practically an assured thing, but that is a call you should make based on your own ability to set command dials. Augmenting that with an SKO or Support Officer if you have either could help.

I do commend your clever use of what you have to come up with a workable fleet, best of luck Admiral.

Thank you, your suggestions were extremely helpful, I now feel like I have a tight list that will be good enough to hold its own and good for me to learn from without being overly complicated. I changed my flagship, added Expanded Hangar Bay, and upgraded my objective choices. I would not have considered Precision Strike but it is definitely perfect for this list. I can now split my fleet evenly into two groups, the Battle Line and the Bomber Swarm, and I can use the CR90 to ride right in front of the flagship and prevent it from getting blocked. Thank you for all your help, here is the updated list, wish me luck:
