Aura Question

By howlingfang, in Descent: Journeys in the Dark

If a hero moves from one adjacent square to another adjacent square of a monster (Master Hell Hound) with Aura, do they take damage, or is it only when you first enter the monster's aura that you take damage and then are free to move "within" the Aura without damage.

Fang

You take the damage whenever you enter a square adjacent to them. It doesn't matter whether you've already been inside their aura or not.

The only (kinda, not really, but looks like an) exception is when stuff is moved around with Knockback. Then it only really moves into the last field they are knocked into, so a monster with Knockback can't make a victim suffer multiple hits from Aura.

This is somewhat backed up by the FAQ entry that a Leaping figure is immune to Aura.

It's also an example in the base rulebook, page 23 lengua.gif

Not in my page 23. I mean, Aura is on page 22....but there's no aura example on either page. Leap isn't anywhere near the base rulebook.

Haslo is presumably referring to the "knockback example" yellow box on page 23, which involves a master hellhound with Aura.
