Edit: Because you said that, I cancelled 1 pre-order and ordered a 75 dollar copy on ebay. You may speak again as my runewars self-control has already been lost.

Dang, I guess I just got lucky then. I'd imagine that at least a few more will go up then soon before people are done selling adepticon stuff.

Picked these up from the Gale Force 9 booth at Adepticon. In person they look super detailed and very well painted. They should be a really nice size for runewars. A steal at $25.

So don't judge me but I went ahead and bought one on eBay. I needed to order a second set anyway and have been soooooo pumped for this game since I love Terrinoth that I simply couldn't wait the two weeks more! Plus I'll be gone to Celebration when it drops so that's four more days that I wouldn't get to play it! Just couldnt resist!

The only one I see is for $128 USD, and I'm no paying 30% markup + shipping for a 2 week advance on the game. And that's assuming they actually ship it in a week.

Edit: if I could find one at retail and get it within a week I'd probably pull the trigger, but I don't see any left on eBay.

edit: actually it's a pre order from Australia. I hope that guy doesn't end up suckering people into paying out the nose for regular release.

Wow are those minis 'professionally' painted? Or were they just a quick paint job by someone at FFG to get it on the table? I really hope nobody paid for those. Or maybe Sorastro has just ruined me for 'table top' quality

They seem like the very definition of tabletop quality, since I'm pretty sure these are the Adepticon demo armies people are playing with.

Sorry that did come off a little harsh, what I was trying to say is that I really thought FFG would have stepped their game up on the minis to promote their game. I've seen a lot better paint jobs on other RuneWars minis than this, or was this not an official FFG supplied army? If it was just someone showing off their stuff then I apologize, much better than I can do.

For those that are not at Adepticon, official word is FFG will be making 3x3 mats of grasslands, etc. made out of the same material as the X-Wing/Armada mats. Also, two more factions by the end of the year.

as an aside i was lucky enough to pick up an adeptacon copy for 80 dollars (I live in the area) I feel so lucky. and im still picking up my pre order copy from my FLGS. cant wait to get this to the table.

I think those are tabletop quality+ so that they look good for demos but you don't worry about grubby hands ruining the studio/pro paint job of the stock images and models that were in the glass cases like in the gencon videos, but I mean those paintjobs are still better than what most people do for tabletop quality. And yes if you watch @Sorastro 's videos and learn his techniques you are going to start seeing things from a higher caliber since he teaches you a mix of techniques to make great mini's with paint jobs that are between tabletop quality and pro paint quality. And he is great at doing it!(give him your monies )

I rarely post but I find this to be a little harsh. He is posting his opinion, how is that trolling? Instead of just piling up and yelling TROLL!!! why not explain to him why you think he is wrong with your own opinion. You are just sinking to his level if you do indeed think he is trolling. I happen to agree with @FrogTrigger , the quality of these minis looks good, so why not do a great paint job on them to promote the game? If I was at the demo and picked these up I would not be wowed or drawn to them from across the room.

Thanks for the feedback about the release info though, the mats are also a neat idea. Curious about the 3x3 design though as I thought a standard army was 200 points to be played on a 3x6? Or is 100 points going to be the standard skirmish size? Is the terrain designed to go side by side? It is to bad they couldn't just design us a 3x6 at a discounted price from buying 2 3x3's... but I guess that would be to large or expensive to package/transport?
