With the precedence adding crossfaction pilots in the same expansion set by the Havoc, I have been considering of how far FFG would take this. It opens up some fun possibilities and better representation for some of the characters. The big question that I've stumbled on is would FFG ever release an expansion with pilots for all three factions? The example that got me thinking on these lines was Mara Jade, who has been affiliated with all three factions. Maybe if they release a Jade Shadow expansion, it could have three Mara Jade pilots?
Triple faction release?
The Nebulon B was flown by all 3 factions. Just saying.
Han Solo would be an example of a pilot that was a member of all 3 factions at one time or another in his life, however not always the same ship.
Would think a lot of rebel players would be mad as hell to see him in a Tie.
V-wing, just saying

I'd love to see Han Solo in a tie!!!
Han, Wedge, Sabine pack!
The ARC-170 should have been for sure.
TIEs should have never.....oh the humanity!
Almost all the Prequel ships could be multi-faction as the leftovers of the Clone Wars were scooped up to start the Galactic Civil War.
Well Bo-Shek is already a unique card that all factions can play. But i wouldn't mind a ship either.
It would probably be a good choice for $$FFG$$. They would probably sell more units. I know some people that only buy for their faction of choice. It might also alleviate a nerf crying thread since every faction will have access to it. (and we all know the nerf threads need a nerf)
Edited by TBotNot to derail the topic but similarly, are there any more specific characters that we could get crew for that could exist in 2 or 3 factions. More single unique cards without faction locks?

A realistic choice for X-Wing would a 3-faction Corellian Gunship.

Can Imperials field Nebulon B's in Armada?

Gar Saxon for Imperial and Scum.
Most of the bounty Hunters, if we are being honest.
My BIG issue with releasing a 3-faction ship: all the cardboard FFG would waste printing 3 identical dials to match each faction when only 1 dial would be needed to cover the ship and any pilot who may fly it. Although they may require pilot cards to support them (multi-faction pilot can have two sides of same card!) all of that dial space could be used for base tiles instead giving a full array of options for every faction.
I'll choose the GAT 12 Skypray bastboat. Luke for rebels, Kir Kanos for imperial , Talon Karrde for scum and Mara Jade for the 3 factions
The Sorosuub Luxury Yacht is all factions.
The Y-8 Mining Ship too.
Also the Belbullab-22.
I want them all!
Well if you are talking about 3 faction characters then Boshek is obviously the answer.
However if you are talking about tri-faction ships first I would like to see some more Scum-Imperial and Imperial-Rebel crossovers first before we get a tri-faction ship. But the primary candidates are TIE-Fighter and Y-wing.
In the Legends Tales of the Bounty Hunters story, Zuckuss and 4-LOM joined the Rebel Alliance after their screen time in Episode V. So they could be Scum, Imperial, Rebel (not that I think this will happen).

Never played it, never intend to. I prefer the X-wing scale and enjoy Epic play. Not everyone is obsessed with 100/6.

Just to speak the Heresy, a fourth Faction that could be used by any of the other 3 as well would be cool. The Mercenary Faction.
There could be a 1 point Title card ("Hired Gun") that allows them to be "borrowed" by the main 3 factions. Or, you just run all Mercs at normal costs.
The faction would not need to be built up fast (it can be borrowed), but in the long run would be able to stand alone.
And Waves could jump up to 4 ships per again.
Edited by Darth Meaniei agree that prequel ships would be the most likely. Imperial outskirts could still have them due to lack of fundings for properly updated ship chassis to work with, Scum/Rebels simply salvaged them and retrofitted them since they dont have access to mass production the imps have.
The ARC would be the only ship currently in the game i'd say should be available to everyone. However it would function differently, if only slightly. Not sure what those differences would be but they would be sufficient enough to basically only be the same haul but different methods of attack.

That's the one thing I don't get about most FFG players. Why do people think armada has replaced X-wing? Armada is it's own separate game, the fact that all Scum ships have been mixed in with the two factions and keeping with the bi-faction set up is enough evidence of that. Now I think Armada has its good points but it also has its flaws that debunks all claims of "more refined" game mechanics. The 6 turn limit, most squadrons have no defense, strict adherence to only 2 separate factions, and the $100 starting price tag with $50 expansions that cost almost as much as an X-wing Huge ship has been enough to keep me away. However I do like the concept of Armada (I think it would have made a great basis for a Star Trek game instead of the X-wing mechanic in Attack Wing), the tall ships and command dial balancing large ships from small ships. Objective based scoring and so on. Makes me upset at my current financial situation I have to choose one or the other so I have chosen to stick to X-wing instead.

I'd rather see him in a Lambda Shuttle

Oh yeah that's it. The ship is just fugly by most standards, but personally i like the tinkered together looks a lot...

Did Boshek have his own ship? I know he was a pilot for hire but I couldn't find anything about him owning a specific ship. Just curious if anyone knows.
