If a ship uses an upgrade that stipulates that it is to be discarded (ie. Lando), do you have to pay to re-equip or does he come back automatically? I searched the CC rulebook and didn't find anything. Sorry if this has been asked before, but my search-fu is weak.
CC Discardable Upgrades
The card is still equipped to your ship and is still in your list.
Next time you go to battle you will be able to use it again - no extra cost.
Its something that is essentially unanswered in the CC Rules,
However,
in the Core and Tournament rules, Discarding is to turn Face-Down... Its still equipped, its just Face-Down and thus, Un-useable... It counts as being equipped for the ship for scoring purposes if it was expended before the ship dies, and it is still an upgrade on that ship.
"• If a ship’s upgrade card is discarded, it is flipped facedown but remains equipped for the purposes of scoring."
You can potentially
infer
from that, that they would not have to be re-purchased... because a lot of them, as you point out, with Lando and Walex and the fleet commands, are also
unique
, and thus, you would potentially be opening the door to
never
being able to re-equip them, if you read the rule another way...
Not discounting it as possible - but it seems unplasuable - That makes certain things
hardcore
.
Contradicted myself, like, 30 times. I'm so Depressed.
Thanks!
