all expansions are "at the printer"

By jek, in Runewars Miniatures Game

Just noticed they moved the second half of wave one over to at the printer! Here's hoping for a unified release in June?...probably not lol...

From "at the printer" goes to "on the boat" and this take about 45 days, then shipping is another 2 weeks at least. The first announced expansions were not at the printer or on the boat some time ago?

That's only if the at the printer stage lasts it usual time, In Development USUALLY lasts around 3-6 months but this was only a few weeks...It would not surprise me if the printing lasted similarly as long since most of the models have technically been at the printer since the core set was there...

I hope FFG got the production number right, they based Destiny off of the pre orders and it was a disaster, unavailable product has stunted the growth of that game in my community and world wide.

Hopefully there isn't a similar problem with RuneWars, I know my LGS has had very few pre orders but lots of chatter about wanting to try it..

I'm also afraid of this issue. We talked about it and I know some have pre-ordered, but I bet we'll have problems with this come expansions-time.

Unfortunately I will not be able to pre-order as I won't have the budget for this game until later in the year. I hope that when I do have the money ready it will be available :D

I don't feel like this is an issue we should be realistically concerned with at this point.

If anything Runewars has a lot of work to do to build momentum. We're excited about it here and in little pockets, but the overall reaction to the game is pretty lukewarm and will be so until it's out getting played.

I'm more worried about getting/keeping players than some notion that the expansions will sell out.

Any chance you live in southern California? Anyone in this situation in Southern California, I will give you anything from the starter sets accept the undead models. Please dont abuse this, its only if you dont have the money.

Wow, that is a really really generous offer. I'm not in S. Cali, and even if I were I couldn't accept. I can afford to buy the game, I just have my hobby money budgeted for other things for the next couple of months. If you do find someone to share your core with, good on you for being so willing to share. I'm glad to know that I'm diving in to a game with people like you around :)

Is San Diego south enough for you?
