I wrapped a two year long EotE saga last summer and my group has been playing something different since. The time is coming back around for Star Wars and I see that some new books have come out. No Disintegrations is going to be a key book for my group because, let's face it, every loves bounty hunters. It shows out of stock on the FFG webstore and other outlets have it at an insane 70% markup for a new book. What's going on here? Has FFG started doing micro-runs to spike the collector's market? Is there going to be another printing? Any thoughts are welcome. Thanks!

If you live in the state, Miniature Market seems to have plenty in stock.

However many of our UK and Australian brothers and sisters are having trouble finding it in their area. So it sounds like something is going on with the distrobution as of late.

Hopefully this thread won't devolve into a echo-chamber of anger. We already have a thread for that.

So is this a reoccurring motif? Was there some over all lack of production or did the same old toy hoarders scoop them all up to sell on their eBay stores?

More importantly, is another printing planned so the book becomes available on the FFG Webstore at least?

You can check the status for yourself. It is "Awaiting Reprint" as of 3/10/17.

This seems to be a new trend as of the last few books. There's a lot of suspicion that it's a byproduct of the Asmodee buy out, but we really don't know for certain. All we can do is speculate, and that seems to just spark more anger.

Well, frustration & disappointment rather than anger... On my part anyway

I live in Germany and also could not get it (except on ebay for 80€ and more). So I had to order it in the US. Fortunately, Minature Market offers quite affordable shipping options if you are willig to wait for a while.

I'm also quite annoyed by this reduced print runs. It started with Special Modifications, I had to order it from a belgian shop and they had exactly 1 copy.

I just cracked and ordered it from the Miniature Market. Not supplying Europe at all is just stupid.

As I'm coming back to gear up for a new saga I'm worried about what's going on here with FFG. The Force Awakens game was cancelled after the starter set came out with no talk of a sourcebook just to provide the new stuff for groups interested. All the recents books have been micro-prints. I've read that the merged with some other company. I don't know if they're starting to distance themselves from that huge Disney license charge, or if their partner company is applying pressure, if Disney is being a problem, or if sales for these high quality books are no longer hitting expectations. It's a great game and most fans of it are die hard. What I hope most is that EotE support continues with one adventure book and one sourcebook per year. That's where it all started for me, the only system I'd trade up to off of WEG's super awesome d6 system. I'll be using the white line (EotE) even in my upcoming AoR saga. I like the setting and will remain a loyal customer as long as FFG wants to take my money.

I wish there were some esteemed members of this community that could get to the bottom of this. Perhaps some sort of podcast, but surely nobody would listen.

Unless you've got some information that I (and, I'd wager, most of us) haven't seen, there was no Force Awakens game to cancel. FFG stated from the outset that there would be no TFA product line following the Beginner Game. A sourcebook for that period would be pretty slim at this point; it would make more sense to release one after Episode VIII or IX when there's more material for the setting.

Thanks for the tip. Ordered a copy today. Good prices if you pick up a few items and pay just once shipping fee.

Electronic copies of these supplemental books would solve the problem instantly. $9.99 / €9.99 per copy - done.

Well, like I said, the production shrinkage makes me nervous. Frankly 2017 is going to be a telling year. If EotE gets an adventure book and another one of those super-awesome source books then I'm happy (well, I want more but I'm realistic). If there's nothing then that tells me each line is being abandoned as the career books are completed. This is all inference mind you, but if that happens I immediately jump to the next conclusion that either this thing is no longer profitable or else their partner business, or Disney, are rattling cages. With that said, there's a whole lot of 2017 left to go for such books to be released.

Certainly the usage stats compared D&D 5E are not great, but I think they're growing. Certainly having new decent movies coming out with RPG tie-ins (ok 1) has to help, but it is a bit weird to have stock management issues in, again what year is it? Oh right, 2017. This stuff should be automatic!
