A question about "to the limit" and move action

By emp1975, in Imperial Assault Rules Questions

Hello,

a have a doubt about "to the limit" and move action.

The situation is:

  • i declare a movement (and obtain 5 move point)
  • i execute a special action
  • i play the "to the limit" card
  • i declare a new movement action (and obteain new 5 point... 10 in total)
  • i can spend the 10 movement point before i became stunned?

the problem is: the movement action ends immidiately after i obtein the move point and for this reason i can't use the obtained move point ( because i am stunned )or i can use the move point (in the example 10 point ) before the end of the action.

Movement points can be used during your activation before and after actions, but not during actions - unless the movement points are received as part of a special action, then they must be used as part of that special action.

To The Limit can only be used after a special action, and the Move action is not a special action. You would need to use Urgency for the combo to work.

You also cannot spend movement points from the movement point pool between the special action and To The Limit. Urgency is a special action granting movement points, so they must be used during Urgency, so you get around that.

You cannot spend movement points between resolving the action granted by To The Limit and becoming stunned.

thanks,

in general, if i understood, i can't use the action obteined by "to the limit" for a standard movement action because i obtain the movement point but i become immeditly stunned and i can't left the space. Is it correct?

Well, you can if you have some ability to discard the stunned condition so you can get to spend the movement points before ending your activation. But it would not be the best use of To The Limit.
