Yeah giving it barrel roll would probably do it. Giving it barrel roll and a hard 1 would be even better.
Yeah... Would not be enough. I think to fix the Firespray, you'd have to be a little dramatic, especially with the Imperial Firesprays. You have a combination of bad pilots in a ship that's overcosted, and in a price range where you can take a Defender instead.
The Scum ones are a little better, but also suffer the "there are better options at the price," issue. The Shadowcaster is just a more flexible ship with better pilot abilities.
I just won a tournament yesterday with Imperial Kath. But I think really a second Crew slot that's discounted would solve the problem.
They did fix the firespray, it's called the lancer class pursuit craft.
As for actual fixes I still think a title enabling them to take 'small ship only' upgrades would do it. Give them access to things like juke and vectored thrusters. Their current titles aren't typically good enough to matter for overlap purposes anyway.
You may equip small ship only upgrades.
Edit: Vectored Thrusters, Illicit Cloaking Device, Deadeye, Juke, and whatever Intensity does.

I already do that. PTL, Engine, Isard. Nearly always have a shot on something.
Admittedly you do have to have been hit a few times for it to work.
Think what people want is a 0 point title that allows you to perform a free boost action combine that with a new Firespray only mod that let's you use the 1 hard turn when boosting would go a long way towards fixing the fail and making it worth the points.
Just the latter part would probably be adequate - firespray-only mod for 4 points that gives you EU and choice of the hard 1 template when boosting.

My buddies and I were messing around with the idea of a Mod that gives EU, and lets you turn any bank into a turn of the equivalent hard turn with the same color of manuever. That way they can do 1 hards from 1 banks then boost. And it would give Imperial Boba a boost too, as it would tie in pretty well with his ability. We were thinking it would be 0-2 points for that.

Bank BR was another thing that I thought of.
Would the 1 bank template be a bit much? It was a bit of a jump with the old big ship BR rules.
FFG might need to give us a 45 degree wedge marker...

I'd be OK with the 4 point coast if its a free action if not then it should have a 0 point coast
God no. Adding boost to it needs to cost what boost costs. Giving it a four point discount on boosting would be insane.

I disagree. The ship is overcosted and benefits from repositioning, so giving it a discounted boost or barrel roll would make perfect sense.

Edited by UbulI will shoot myself in my foot. FS 31 is not overcosted.. The FS 31 generic was OK when released. The problem is that comparing this with Lancers or UPS shuttles is lamentable.
The problem lies in the superb ships released with later "Codex". Playing Epic a FS 31 is better. The Slave I Title is too weak, I agree.

Not really. We're talking about a reasonably well costed ship with a bad dial. Scum Boba is decent, but a bit too stiff in manoeuvring.
I'd be persuadable that a small discount might be appropriate but adding not just boost but a better version of boost to a large based ship fneedssome costing. Especially to a ship that can get entirely action-free mods with Dengar and/or expertise.

But that's just it the dial is why the ship is over coated. So any fix has to address that issue.
