New try on two YT1300s

By Scott at home, in X-Wing Squad Lists

Hello from a long time reader, first time poster. I am a regular but not expert player. After getting Heroes of the Resistance I now have two Falcons and so wanted to try a twin YT1300 squad build. But I didn't want it to be a variation of Fat Han, so I was looking at this combo. All constructive comments welcome.

Rey (YT1300), PTL, Finn, Hera, Falcon title = 55

Chewy (YT1300), Adaptability, Recon Specialist = 45

this will be for a local club competition coming up so I want it to be competitive, but it is not for any kind of championship. There are several local players who have literally every ship, so I could face anything.

I really enjoy flying lists with two large-base ships, so this build interests me. However, could you just clarify a few things for me?

1. Which Chewbacca pilot are you running (Regular or Heroes of the Resistance)?

2. Which title are you running on Rey, evade or sloop?

3. For adaptability on Chewy, are you increasing or decreasing?

My thought was to get Rey with the Evade title and regular Chewy with +1 PS. That way Chewy soaks up hits, and Rey combined with Finn gets to add extra (blank) defense dice, so is also more survivable.

Makes a lot of sense. If you ever get the chance to run it, let me know how it flies. You could also try Trick Shot as the EPT for Chewy instead. With the 360 turret, you're going to be attacking every turn. You may want the extra die, and I'm not too sure how much more useful it will be to have a PS 6 Chewy rather than a PS 5.

Try:

Rey: Finn, Kanan, MF (Sloop), Snuggling Compartment, Inertial Dampeners, Determination (56)

Chewie: Rage, Inspiring Recruit (44)

Both Ignore Kylo Ren; Rey can regen Pilot crits. Rey is your maneuverable punch-in-the-face; Chewie orbits the board firing into center with fully modded dice each round (and stays maneuverable with white maneuvers whenever Rey isn't using Kanan).
