I didnt know before that Jerjerod meant that you had a choice to take a damage on a shield rather then as I had assumed simply a damage card. I'm fairly confident that by using mostly maneuver tokens on the ISD's thus allowing them to make ridiculous turns I can make up for the disadvantage in having only three activations with minimal to no upgrades. I also figured that since i'm running dual ISD's that a strong anti squadron screen could compensate for preventing the rebels typical fighter advantage, as i've found them to have.

Redundant Shields may seem like a good idea. However, it will restore one shield per round (one damage mitigation). If you opt for Electronic Countermeasures, you can ensure that you can use your Brace when you actually need it, thus you are able to mitigate a lot more damage than the Redundant Shields would ever be able to do.
