Carnevale of Horrors - Doom on Elisabetta Magro (card spoiler)

By karohemd, in Arkham Horror: The Card Game

One of the Masked Carnevale Goers is Elisabetta Magro, who during Act 1a receives one Doom at the end of the Mythos phase.

What effect do these Doom tokens have? It's not on the card and wasn't on any Act/Agenda we came across.

Many thanks in advance!

ALL Doom tokens in play count towards progressing the Agenda. That's why it's sometimes good to kill Enemies that have Doom tokens on them... it makes the Doom tokens go away and buys you some time before the Agenda progresses.

Many thanks for this clarification! I just checked and it's in the Doom section of the rules reference. I guess I didn't check because I thought it was an enemy specific thing.

This could be worded better, like "As long as X is in play during [condition], place a Doom token on the Agenda at the end of the Mythos phase".

Not really. As KrisWall said, defeating the enemy makes the doom go away. If you put it directly on the Agenda, you can't get rid of it anymore.

I put Doom on both Enemy and Agenda, so when checking for advancement, I only need to look in one place. Then when the Enemy is defeated, I remove the Doom from both cards.

I like that approach, thanks!

There is also another enemy who adds doom directly to the agenda, so they do take this approach when that's what they're going for.

Which one? I can only find enemies that add doom to themselves (Elisabetta Magro, Acolyte and Wizard of the Order).

It's the silver twilight acolyte, a basic weakness enemy: https://arkhamdb.com/find?q=silver

Aaaah. Thanks.
