a StarViper and a Firespray start a fight in a bar....

Who stands up to help them out?

Solidly second tier ships, the 'Viper and the 'Spray. Using those two, and whatever third S&V ship you like, what do you do? What's your list? How are you going to fly them?

Depending on which Viper pilot you use, you're not going to have a lot of points to pump into the Firespray.

Heres what I got:

(100)

Prince Xizor (36) - StarViper
Push The Limit (3), Autothrusters (2)

Mandalorian Mercenary (38) - Firespray-31
Veteran Instincts (1), Tail Gunner (2)

Serissu (26) - M3-A "Scyk" Interceptor
Snap Shot (2), "Heavy Scyk" Interceptor (2), Flechette Cannon (2)

I'm currently running a 3 ship list with a firespray, yv666, and z95.

I'd recommend my z95 load out for a cheap but hard hitting filler ship.

Kaa'to Leeachos, deadeye, chips, and missile of your choice. I recommend concussion for 20 pts or homing for 21.

It's as if millions of voices suddenly cried out for Talonbane Cobra.

I've been toying with the idea of a bare MandoMerc and a bare Findsman as meatshields for Xizor. Or a pair of bare Black Sun Enforcers running escort to a loaded Boba. Or maybe...maybe...a Lone Wolf 'Viper, loaded Kath, and a Z95 blocker. Hadn't considered TBC; that's an interesting idea. But yes, the real challenge is that both the 'Viper and the 'Spray are about 5 points overcosted, so filling the list is...difficult. One of the two is likely to get hosed down a little to make room for a third, but they just aren't quite good enough to run as a two-ship list. I'm thinking once the C-Roc drops, one of those new Scyk Aces might do some work.

Keep the ideas coming! Let's get these ships some table time!

My personal favorite:

(100)

Kath Scarlet (56) - Firespray-31
Expertise (4), Heavy Laser Cannon (7), Dengar (3), Engine Upgrade (4)

Guri (44) - StarViper
Veteran Instincts (1), Advanced Proton Torpedoes (6), Virago (1), Autothrusters (2), Fire Control System (2), Scavenger Crane (2)

No third ship though.

Maybe this:

(99)

Kath Scarlet (49) - Firespray-31
Expertise (4), Dengar (3), Engine Upgrade (4)

Guri (38) - StarViper
Veteran Instincts (1), Virago (1), Autothrusters (2), Fire Control System (2), Cloaking Device (2)

Binayre Pirate (12) - Z-95 Headhunter

Gives you a blocker and a bid.

I just took this to a store tournament yesterday:

47: Boba Fett w/ Attani Mindlink, Dengar, Engine Upgrade

37: Guri w/ Attani Mindlink, Virago, Adv. Sensors, Autothrusters

16: Kaa'to Leachos w/ Attani Mindlink

It's a fun little list. It gives the Firespray the action efficiency it desperately craves and Guri is one of my very favorite to fly. If you're focused up at the start of combat, Kaa'to can steal Guru's focus, and she gets it back, then she gets a second through her ability if there's an enemy nearby. Very good Mindlink shenanigans. The list really struggles against stress control though, because none of the ships have the greens to really overcome it easily.

I'd also go for Mindlink, it goes a long way in making any jank viable.

Guri (30)
Attanni Mindlink (1)
Autothrusters (2)

Kath Scarlet (Scum) (38)
Attanni Mindlink (1)
Tail Gunner (2)

Palob Godalhi (20)
Attanni Mindlink (1)
Dorsal Turret (3)
Vectored Thrusters (2)

Total: 100

Like that. Palob is a bit on the weak side with no great turret, but at least he has the Thrusters to get him where he needs to be. Kath delivers quite the punch from her rear. Both Guri and Palob have good synergy with Mindlink. You can replace Palob with Kaa'to, though, to afford Engine Upgrade for Kath and FCS for Guri.
