Vassal Freshman Imperial Might

By Visovics, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

Thinking on running this list in the Vassal Freshman tournament, since I'm basically a newb, I don't want to fly a completely bad list, so help?

Fleet created with Armada Warlords

As someone else planning to bring two ISDs to that tournament, I will advise you that you will be hopelessly outactivated by most fleets, and while dual Motti ISDs are one of the only things that has a chance of weathering the abuse, it is only a chance. Given that your bid is all but non-existent as well, anyone with MC30s or Demolisher will double/triple-tap you with prejudice and make tracks. You're going to need to seriously weather anyone on the approach with Rhymer's companions, and hopefully whatever hasn't flown away the ISDs can finish off the following round.

Regarding the specific build composition, these are my thoughts. You have two real fighters, the Defender and Tempest Squadron. I would decide before each battle under what circumstances they will stand and fight instead of fleeing with the rest of the bombers. I would expect aces to usually be an occasion for the latter. If you can trade in something to find the points to turn the Jumpmaster into Dengar, he should greatly help the bombers provide a more prickly exterior to enemy space-superiority units than they do at present. Trading in Spinal for XI7 will help results against Redirect ships and get you most of the points you need for Dengar. I would also trade the I-2's SW-7s for LS, just to try to get a little something more out of the four reds. Another option is swapping the Turbo upgrades for DTTs, again for red consistency. Best of luck Admiral, may the best Imperial show the Rebel scum how it's done.

Station Assault. Contested Outpost. Salvage Run.

Dont even think about running blockade run or ion cannons with 2 ISDs

Mental note: I need to remember to check objectives when I use another fleet to make new ones

About the jumpmaster, I was thinking on using the intel to have more effective bombing runs without having to worry about engagement

I realise it's better to change the spinal on the ISD-II and the SW-7 for LS

Thanks
