Hopefully they fix Lair of the Wyrm. As I've stated it made me hate playing as the OL.
The Future of 2nd Edition
Lair of the Wyrm is definitely frustrating. I don't even bother using the rumor cards from that deck since the awarded relics imbalance the campaign so badly compared with the much better designed H&M side quests.
I like the classes and monsters that come with the expansion though.
I would love it if FFG revisited their small box expansions and made some tweaks to the quests so that they were more in line with how the H&M quests are designed in terms of rewards, # of search tokens, difficulty for the OL (The Jorem mining quest is nuts) , etc.

I hated the Burning Inn Quest. Oddly I was one token away from winning the whole Campaign (Despite NO Reinforcements in the Finale ), sadly I couldn't play Dash twice on Valyndra.

What if they launched a 3rd edition, that was compatible with all the 2nd edition expansions? I guess like Mansions of Madness 2nd edition. A 3rd edition solo focused at stream lining the Road to Legend experience, with replacement cards where necessary for the expansions (I would think mainly certain class abilities?).
I dont want more tiles, monsters and cards from a new edition.
I already have all 2nd edition and 1st edition with kit.
I would love to have more content for the 2nd edition, but not a new 3rd edition. It's a lot for a game, both money and space.
More H&M, expansions with other countries from Mennara like Isheim (frozen wastes), Zanaga (jungles) or places like Al-Kalim (desert), the Great Forest of Aymhelin (latari elves) or the the Dunwarr Mountains (dwarves). More campaign books.
A revised edition, or an upgrade kit for some of the contents we have and need update, would be ok.
An expansion to support RTL, i would buy it as well.
Things like that would be welcome for me at the moment, but a new edition would propably lead me to another direction . . .
I wouldn't mind seeing a 2.5 edition.
Re-release of cards/monster cards/hero cards with balanced stats. New adventure books, replacement mechanics, and dice.
All the old content still stands, box sets and H&M packs can be reprinted etc.
Newer adventure packs going forward use new stats and cards (and old models) using a dodge mechanic instead of miss. Updated LoS mechanics similar to IA, and a monster point system for re-enforcement groups and/or skirmish play.
I have the confirmation that there will be a new release/update in september for Road To Legend. It looks looks like it will be a new campaign but i don't know if it is linked to some new physical content.
I want to and i will believe u
, so thats great news!
I hope u will get us some more info later on.

This pleases me..... Fingers crossed for Labyrinth of Ruin.
Labyrinth of Ruin is the most possible indeed.
Its the second big expansion and FFG maybe want to increase sales on this1 too.
Fingers crossed for LoR too.
I will F5 news section for the next of the month, cant w8 ...
I'd prefer more physical content, (especially more OL classes that are different with unique mechanics) as I am a primarily a standard game player, but RtL is an enjoyable game mode and I see the sense in pursuing its development.
tldr: More Descent. Me likey.
Edited by LightningclawPlleeeease FFG, give us a new Mage and Healer class so there are equal numbers of each archetype! By far the thing I want the most

"We here at FFG have heard your concerns about the balance of classes. You'll be pleased to hear the next expansion will include 2 more scout classes. We feel this will balance out the game in favor of the classes that people use most."
(I do not work for FFG)
I think we need more Mage/healer heroes/classes too...
Main reason I haven't bought MoR is uneven classes.
The second reason is I don't think I need more scout and warrior heroes. There's already more of them than the other two archetypes.
Edited by LightningclawI'd like to see a 3rd edition... or as others have said, more of a 2.5 edition
but.
it would be a new setting Contained ina big box e.g a frozen waste, jungle continent etc within Terrinoth, and would not be a completely new set of rules. this would give me a reason to buy. It would update/clear up older rules but have new content and allow me to use all my 2nd edition content.
It would be compatible OOTB with the the road to legend campaign.
It would add new rules and abilities, OL and heros.
Id also imagine any newer releases they might be tempted to updated the scale of miniatures inline with Runewars.

That's never going to happen, if FFG releases a base set for a new version it needs to be really generic so that players who only own said base set can use it with any future expansion. FFG would be seriously shooting themselves in the foot to put out the 3rd edition base in some peculiar setting as they'd be stuck trying to work let's say frozen tiles from the base into every future map on the whole 3rd edition product line.
Frostgate

I hate to be one of those guys, but I am very disappointed. This looks very much like a light-weight app, made to milk the last few drops out of the Descent franchise.
I started board gaming 2.5 years ago to get away from computers, not to have them pushed onto me. The lack of new physical to me is very lackluster.
Although I'm happy for those who enjoy the app and its campaigns, to me this very much confirms that the physical product line has reached its end.
(At least we finally got a frost themed expansion, though! :P)

There is nothing "frost expansion" about this except the concept art and some flavor text at present. If this release is a prelude to a physical frost expansion I'll change my tune, but for now I'm equally unimpressed. It's a creative new way to play the app, that's for sure, but that's about all the praise I've got to give.

Better than nothing I guess.
I'm sure it will be fun though, but for me it's also a confirmation that at least in terms of physical expansions, we won't be seeing anything anymore.
Too bad, I think the game still has a lot of potential.
Im optimistic. Maybe in the future they will give us an expansion with frost tiles.
Anyway campaign books and RTL is the right direction to focus, so im happy.
Any news is good news at this point.
Looking forward for more info from ffg.
I agree the frost theme is silly and meaningless, unless it's going to be followed up immediately with an new arctic-based physical expansion. But as they typically announce those things well in advance of release I'm not hopeful on that.
I've no problem with them going largely digital as long as the content is both high quality and substantial. The new app-based Mansions of Madness is very well done (aside from somewhat scarce minis), but this looks to be about as interesting and deep as Flappy Bird.
I'm certainly not paying money for it, and in general FFG isn't getting any more of my money until they give me reason to have confidence in them again.

I can absolutely understand your reasoning. Especially compared to "The Delve" this content is very shallow (for the same price).
I still bought this content hoping that it will support further development of Road to Legend. I just hope this kind of content will not be repeated.
so did i with same assessment.
