A Redemption list. Yes, you read that right.

By Sybreed, in Star Wars: Armada Fleet Builds

I've never tried Redemption and to be honest, I never thought it was good (well, not for its cost). But hey, this list could prove infuriating to an opponent who can't do huge alpha strikes!

I like the approach in general. Lots of shields, though you're still pretty light on hull. I wonder if you wouldn't get more value from RBD on that pickle, since you're already stacking a whole lot of shield regen.

I like the inclusion of ion cannon batteries, I think the MC80CC is a pretty good platform for them, particularly with Defiance.

I feel like Jan would give you more benefit than Wedge on the squadron front. Your X-Wings aren't there primarily to kill, they're there primarily to live, and Jan makes them muuuch better at that.

I wouldn't take Opening Salvo here, since 1) large alphas are a threat to your repair approach, and OS just makes those worse, and 2) you're very likely to end the game with some hull damage. I'd go for Advanced Gunnery for Turbodefiance or Most Wanted. For the yellow, CO all day, though CtV would be a fun one to try out with this list too. DT is fine, though personally I prefer Solar CoroƱa as my default blue (deployment advantage, holy crap good, especially with a pickle).

Speaking of Defiance, you would really benefit from Engine Techs for positioning, since you're going to need to make it dance to keep it shielding your support ships. You have ample token support to keep ET fueled even if you're spamming CF or repair on there.

To pay for it, I'd drop APT--which isn't going to proc reliably and is on a ship you don't particularly want in the thick of combat anyway--and swap Derlin for Lando. Derlin is nice, but I think the single big shot is a bigger threat to Redemption, plus he's cheaper.

all good points.... especially Lando, Nebs tend to die to one big salvo, not multiple small ones. I'll look into that.

oh and the custom yellow objective was for CtV ;)

I cant help but feel that with a Pelta AND a Neb you should be taking a Liberty for all the forward facing firepower. I know it doesnt get any defensive retros though.....

my experience with Libs have been bad for the most time... while I think I won over 80% of my MC80s matches

And did those matches include chasing style support ships for the rest of the fleet?

Do what works for you, but the slow turning pickle wants to be 90' from the rest of your stuff,

Not necessarily. If I can position my MC80 correctly, I can simply put it ahead of my other ships and still get side shots. My experience so far with such fleets is that it forces your opponents to make weird maneuvers in order to be in strong position against your biggest threat, while the other ships have access to their weakpoints. Honestly, I,d rather have the MC80 face the full force of the enemy focused fire and leave my other ships do uncontested damage. If I can capitalize on that, then the MC80 will do just fine. Hell, Engine techs will help as well.

I'll give it a shot just for fun, if it doesn'T work, well the experience will be enlightening.
