As it says, do we usually see a full spoiler before release, or is what we've seen already it?
Do the new ships usually get previewed ahead of release?
Usually there is an article that spoils more cards/pilots and sometimes the dial.
Always.
There is the initial preview article. Along the way (as we get closer to release), an entire article dedicated to each ship (which often spoils MOST of the cards). And then, usually simultaneous with release, a kind of recap article discussing designer intent for the wave, build strategies, etc. This final article basically never tells us anything new, so most releases tend to come out with a small handful of cards or pilots unspoiled.

Yup. FFG usually leaves at least one thing unrevealed until the release. Or at least until one of the distributors gets it and opens it up and posts it online somewhere a few days prior to the actual release day.

Otherwise you could proxy the entire ship.
The things that are usually not spoiled in a wave, until it hits either gencon (advance sales) or the street date are:
-2nd lowest generic pilot of a ship (not always)
-1-2 dials in the lot
-about 2-3 upgrade cards in the lot
The rest is usually known a week in advance at the latest.
It seems new ships always get "spoiled" well ahead of their release dates. Now FFG usually holds something back until closer to the actual release but there is usually still so much that gets talked about those few things often don't make the biggest difference.
Sometimes FFG has even spoiled thing before the PREVIOUS wave is even on the market. I know I like to see the spoiler and know what to expect out of the next wave but I really think the sometimes go overboard and come out way too early. I'm sorry but I'd rather see talk of the newly released stuff than all of this talk about something that isn't even going to be out for months yet.
