What other miniature wargames do you play/do you want to play?

And about Tekwych, why not? Maybe he was interested, came here to get infos, saw this thread, was interested in what other people play and posted here.

Which is more or less why I'm asking.

My question shouldn't be conflated with some kind of "REEEEE! BURN THE UNBELIEVER!"

I just know that there are many, many games that I'm not interested in, and I wonder what would get me posting in their game-specific forums?

In all sincerity, and not trying to be snarky, or a jerk, but with honest curiosity... why are you here, then? I mean, if you've already made the decision that you definitely won't be buying in I'm missing what allure a bunch of people hyped for release day has for you.

No snark, fair question. I think this is a great game with interesting new twists in the rule set. This game deserves to make and while I can't support it financially I will offer it word of mouth and recommend it to others. I have a strong interest in the busniess of designing and publishing of games and FFG is one of the biggest

Also I enjoy spreading the knowledge of over 30 years of gaming and painting to others. It's just one more thing I shouldn't take with me.

And add Beyond the Gates of Antares to my list of playing now.

Thanks for answering. Makes sense. I lurk in a lot of places for similar reasons.

BtGoA is an undervalued gem.

Just can't seem to keep any traction locally, but over in the UK it seems to do pretty well.

But isn't that a very traditional response to many things?

I too heard that BtGoA is a great game, as said I have the starterset and all the minis but I never played it. Should try it some time, might even get the new starter because the Algoryn look great.

I have applied for the next round of The Antares Initiative. The game is great, fast, thoughtful sci-fi version of Bolt Action with a strong set of fluf. Warlord does not have any real infrastructure in North America. They come over for a few conventions. I would love to see them build a player team like the Infinity WarCores, Mantic Pathfinfers, and FFG Flight Crew.

The only Warlord game I ever see around here is Bolt Action, not sure why that has such a huge following in FL But Antares looked interesting, so I immediately closed the browser window...

I've been watching battle reports of Age of Sigmar on YouTube lately for exactly the same reason.

This and Kingdom Death will be my 2 main mini's games (though KD is not a war game). I have 2 40k armies but I'm just about over that game. I'm giving them one more shot with next edition to revamp that game and not make it dreadfully slow, clunky, and just a mess to set up, then I'm selling my armies and putting that to rest. I'm very much hoping this game will take over my war gaming need. I love high fantasy, I like that Terrinoth IS high fantasy with just a couple slight bends to keep it interesting (orcs are decent follows), and I love the modern game design approach that this game seems to be implementing.

Fingers crossed, but all previews are looking go to me so far.

Why not just use the miniatures and play the older editions of 40k? There's still a lot of fun to be had with Rogue Trader and 2nd edition. They do require a particular group but you may find a number of those player regardless of however Age of Sigmar in Space (8th) turns out.

i pulled the trigger exactly after posting here on two player starting set for me and my boy to try it out, will let you know how to goes as soon as it arrives

I liked Age of Sigmar originally, but it just became a meet in the middle and roll off type of game after a bit, but my son did dig it

Exactly, that and the bodybuilded comic style minis make it great for kiddies

What I used to play

Confrontation

Hell Dorado

WFB

What I play

Drakerys

Warmachine

Wrath of Kings (not actually played much yet)

What I own

Lots of others that are too numerous to list, which will never be played for lack of time but I collect compulsively because I love new rules and new minis

And of course, waiting impatiently for RWM

Currently play X Wing and Bolt Action.

Used to play Warmaster, DBM, DBA, Flames of War, Battletech, Full Thrust.

Always wanted to play Warhammer Fantasy but cost put me off. Now I can get into it with Runewars!
