Isn't it similar to the escort carrier from 'rebellion' ?
certainly reminds me of it.

oh wait was it the rebel version?..
It's a grey triangle. The Empire would sue for copyright infringement.

This is the Imperial escort carrier from Rebellion (and all other star wars games since):

Edited by Lord TareqNot exactly an inspired design is it? I mean it's just a box. with a nipple stuck on the top.

Yes, the original Quasar-Fire carrier was a rebel ship. It was in SW Rebellion as the "Escort Carrier." However it seems the current philosophy is to take rebel ships and make them Imperial (Quasar-Fire and the CC-7700 now). To be fair, as
Rebel
forces are all about stealing
Imperial
ships, i guess an occasional Imperial theft is fair play

One of the ( many ) reasons the EU has been (wisely), by and large, flushed down the can.
Design aesthetics from the EU are, like, 3 for 10....
Say, here's a thought, rather than dual typing, what about introducing titles that allow a Ship to be used by the opposing faction? As in flagship/named ship style. That way instead of dealing with the logistics of trying to dual type a ship, instead you make it so there are circumstances where it can be used? then it'd be something easy to throw in the next campaign(or perhaps a standalone title pack)
Yeah since Zanderf mentioned it.. gotta say the vast majority of the EU is just total and utter sh*te. The vang tau or whatever?
Yeah. I'll watch 'Trek if I want that, thanks
To be fair, a lot of the bad EU designs come from old video games where polygons were very limited.
That's no excuse for the E- and K-wing though. And the Star Crusher. Oy the Star Crusher.

To each his own, I actually like the ship design. Imho not every ship has to look like a stylish package of death incarnate.

By that logic the ISD is just a triangle & the Mon Cal cruiser a pickle?

I believe the Millennium Falcon was based on a burger with a pickle next to it on the plate of whomever the art director was during a lunch with Lucas.
At least that's stuck in the back of my memory somewhere.

Stuuk in your memory huh?
Aye, and little did I know but apparently 'stuuk' (pronounced in thick jock STOOK) means 'stupid' in Scot slang..
d'oh.

I'm wondering if Imperials will ever get someone else's ship...

Good call. It's from the book "star wars: From concept to screen to collectible." During filming they dubbed it "the flying hamburger." The TIE Bomber was also called the "double chili TIE" because it reminded them of a couple of chili dogs. Guess George really didn't feed his crew that well

Arguably, they did in advance with the Firespray

I was just going to say this, imps already have the scum firespray.

Or do scum have the imp firespray, Fett was not known for playing well with the bounty hunters guild. Scum should have been split between rebels and imps, never as their own faction.
It's done though, so, (off topic) but from a fluff perspective, all the bounty hunters present in ESB, should have been available to the imps.

You realize you're on a Star Wars forum, playing a Star Wars game, maybe, given that information expect Star Wars discussion?

No I never did, I thought I was on the single mothers forums... so happy people like you are here to inform me of such things. Cheers
If you want to get pedantic about it, we're actually on a Star Wars forum for a tabletop model game, where discussion over the length of actual ships is actually completly irelevent as it has absolutly no bearing on the game, the rules or the models. But each to their own.

Maybe it doesn't have any bearing, maybe it does. So far Ship length has determined what base it gets. Here is a case where the old established length, (300m) doesn't jive with the base size, (medium). Either the ships length was increased, (most likely) or it could mean something about bases.
Beyond that... this is a forum for a Star Wars game about combat between Starships. Talking about said Starships, even in minutiae isn't outlandish.
What is outlandish is coming into a thread that doesn't interest you, posting a moronic meme that is in Effect saying, "hur dur, this is dumb, you guys are dumb." That is a **** move.
If you don't like a topic, all you have to do is shrug your shoulders, and say, "you guys have fun, I'm going find something that interest me." Don't rain on other people's parades just to make yourself feel better. That's not how a good community works.
