How the aggressor will differ from y wings

I like that, I could see it being better than a bomber but slightly worse than a standard tie as far as dials go.

There's not that much room between the two. What else would be different between those 2 ships?

Thinking of FFGs math behind cost and durability, I'm thinking the dial will have to be much better; barrel roll is nice, but the cool mod card in the pack makes you focus....so I'm leaning "good dial" not "great" but much better than the Y...it is a TIE isn't it?

Don't set yourself up for failure. Expect the Tie Adv dial and be happy if it isn't.

The room is mostly access to white turns but not 5 straight or 1 straight

They look similar to the tie advanced, in logical world, you would think the dial would be similar as well, so not bad, but not terrible as well.

yes because that's how the TAP ended up, wtf ffg

It will probably be the most maneuverable ship with a turret upgrade slot (excluding Unhinged Y-wings). But it won't be anything super good to write home about. Probabily less than the Star Viper or E-wing as for maneuverability. Might even be less than TIE Fighter.

Maybe like the Mist hunter or a TIE Fighter missing 1 K turn. That's my guess. We won't know until the spoiler article.

But commign up next Jabba The Hutt (assuming no more OP filler articles comes out).

isnt the TIE Aggressor technically a modified TIE Adv frame?

im not savvy on EU lore but i seem to remember hearing that somewhere.

The TIE/AG frame is a post-Advanced project ship, same generation as the Hunter, Defender and Phantom (and thus, even if it was unshielded in Age of Rebellion, being shielded is no surprise in game. Like TAPs.), and is supposed to be a fighter/bomber hybrid. It's a long-range multirole ship designed to ambush rebel fighters and convoys, or do longer out patrol or escort duty (the rear turret makes it a pain to dogfight, much like I expect it will in the tabletop) and it was explicitly said in the Imperial Handbook to have maneuverability comparable to a Y-Wing. So something around an Advanced or Y-Wing dial is probably not crazy.

Here's something the Agg might have that the bulk of Y-Wings lack.

Native EPT

Definitely has, judging by how there's an EPT in the pack.

Biggest thing is Agility. It will be closer to a HWK-290 than a Y-wing in terms of attributes. The Dial will probably be better than a HWK-290, there will be at least one reversal maneuver. now will it be a K-turn or a pair of S-loops is anyone's guess. The double missile slot makes it a carrier for unguided rockets if it isn't going to go for TLT.

So instead of calling it an Imperial Y-wing , maybe we should call it an Imperial Hawk with missiles for passengers, and a better dial.

It will be an Imperial HWK with BR and I'm guessing a Bomber/Advanced Dial but no Crew when it takes a Turret.

Double missile and LWF make it almost exactly a less durable tie advanced or an xwing with BR and a weaker gun.

Lightweight frame on the tie will make it a pain to deal with seeing you can run 4 agres with TLT and lightweight frame . If you are not terrible at rolling they could be around for a long time.

It might have been stated already, but the only turn around it can have if granted is K-Turn. There is no rule card for S-Loop or Tallon Roll in the card spread.
