Edited by TirionOf course, no cardboard on the bases or cards. Though I think we got all the cardboard info figured out from the spoilers.
Quasar Fire looking particularly awesome, Hammerhead paint job looks a tad messy, but still a nice little model. I love the Quasar Fire because, whilst it's still a wedge, it is something a bit different from most of the Imperial ships we've had so far. Going to look great on the table!
I agree it looks like the same company that painted wave 5 is doing wave 6 :/

I didn't mean what are the patterns or anything like that, I can see that from the announcement article. I meant how are they painted as in are they painted by hand? Printed? Stamped? Printed wouldn't make sense because how would you have sloppy painting from a printer (and how would a printer paint 3D models)? By hand wouldn't make sense because there are thousands of them, and stamped has the same issues printing does. . . I had the same questions about the McFarlane toys. . .
My apologies for not clarifying.
Same answer you can see them in the link...... They are hand painted though.

Dang, that's a lot of time spent painting. . . it also implies that every ship is unique. . . no wonder they take so long to reach us. . .

those are renders not actual models, so patterns- yes; paintjob nope :/
Actually had the FFG CEO show me pictures of the process. The paint by hand using stencils. Each area of paint has it's own stencil. The number of stencils per model can be really large.

Sounds very interesting, if time consuming.

He's referring to the models in the article that I referenced. . . This has been an oddly confusing conversation for the three parties involved. . .

Haha are they hiring an engineer to figure out a better process to do it? Cause if so, where can I send my resume...Engineering, working for FFG AND getting to work on Star Wars???
That'd be swell
