TIE Aggressor with IG2000 title

To be fair, I didn't think it up on my own. I just noticed it when I went to add the new stuff to Aurora and IG-2000 popped up as a title option for the tie/ag.

In other words... It required a mindless robot to think it up? ;)

Maybe the Tie Aggressor will come with a similar title that has an additional bonus, then no-one will use the IG card, problem solved!

To be fair, the shairing abilities works for everyone being a cog in the imperial machine, even if lore-wise and game-wise, ig-2000 shouldn't work for them, got it covered in the fluff department

Wait that can't be... *Looks at card*

Huh! Interesting! Granted, the card only actually does anything when the Ghost title is on a VCX-100, _and_ the Phantom title is on an assult shuttle (as per the Ghost title). But. The Phantom title sure can be put on any ship in the game.

See my earlier post. It has no squad point value, so you can't just voluntarily equip it on any ship. The only way to get the phantom title is when the Ghost title tells you to equip it.

+1 nothing more to add, this whole thread has me loosing faith to humanity lately.

I am organizing tournaments, there is already one coming next Sunday anounce in the organized play thread.

I am not allowing this kind of crap even if someone spends 2 hours breaking my (insert bad word here) about how it's legal because of the way its worded on the card. Rules layers should be clensed with fire!

Man really going to sting when 4x IG 2000 TIE Ag sweeps all of the cut at Worlds.

Squinting real hard, it looks like one of the Aggressor pilots is named "Double-Tap", and his ability will let him get a second attack. Haven't tried comparing the text to the IG to see if they match up yet, buuuut... Just throwing that out there for ya.

His name is Double Edge

if only ig-88D wasn't scum only, then it could be an even bigger can of worms.

Hmm, don't see any negative aspects to THAT name...

It's also wrong. The Phantom title hasn't got a cost, so you can only equip it when the Ghost title tells you to, and that tells you to put it on a friendly Attack Shuttle.

Look at how many cross faction stuff there is between Rebel and scums. It would actually be cool to have that one available for Imps. It could make sense since IGs are robots. I mean Imps got their hand on one and replicated it to use in their brand new ship.

Only reason why it probably wont happen is that if you want a 4x Agressor squad to work, you would need to buy 4x IG2000 just for the titles. It would seem profitable for FFG but i think theyll understand that it could create frustration in their customer base.

Still, would have been a great idea if the title were included in the Xpac.

Some here are taking things too serious ;)

The salt flow is so strong in this thread, my people will be fed for a generation.

"Double Edge." You can see it on the plate in the preview image.

Yes. Looking forward for the pilot ability. The text says something with "Once per ..." and "second...". At least something with secondary weapon or secondary attack. But I would guess it has something to do with secondary weapon due to the turret upgrade slot.

This is the TIE Advanced Prototype with TIE Advanced title all over again *sigh*

If the card read TIE Advanced Prototype it could take a card for TIE Advanced only. However the card reads TIE Adv Prototype so it can't.

X-Wing only cards can be taken by a T-70 X-Wing. Aggressor only cards can be take by a TIE Aggressor - according to the rules. Totally ridiculous, of course, and so likely to have errata; we don't need to worry as our FFG Overlords will sort it for us.

"Rebel Scum" is an in-universe thing. It totally fits.

The ones that compose the X-Wing mini faction were Imps partners almost as much as Rebels: Dengar, IG-88, Bossk, Boba, the Mandalorians... And almost what, 90%? of the imperial army is made of a cloned bounty hunter...

Prequels. We don't serve their kind here.

Rex, Ahsoka, Captain Nym, they're not from the Clone Wars... :-)

Of course not! Rex and Ashoka are CLEARLY from rebels! ;)

And Vader castle isnt on Mustafar in Rogue One. Or the Death Star designers arent the Geonosians we saw coming back in Rebels. You must unlearn what you have learned :)

Most likely result: errata to the IG-2000 title card to add 'Scum only' to the byline.

Alternative possibility: the TIE Aggressor named pilots have abilities that you really don't want to/can't share. IE., "If you are not stressed, you may deal a stress token to all friendly fighters and receive an evade token and focus token for each stress token dealt out" or something that happens once during setup or etc.

im thinking more of Large ship only, that way if imps ever get brobots they can still have the title. and if IG-88s decide to fly a smaller ship than their not flying the IG-2000

It is fairly obvious that the IG-2000 title is not intended to work with anything other than IG-88's ship. I highly doubt FFG knew they'd be adding the TIE Aggressor when they made Wave 6, and so obviously they didn't future-proof the title against this.

It'll be errata'd instantly, I'd lay money on it. Quite frankly anyone who would argue this point is the kind of person I wouldn't want to play against in the first place, since it's a prime example of rules lawyering at the expense of common sense.

Anyone who claims to read the minds of the designers and then be upset when others don't also possess that level of clairvoyance is the kind of person I wouldn't want to play against in the first place.

The rules are the rules. Period. No interpretation, no mind-reading necessary. If that ship is in my hand and it's not errata'd, I'm running the IG-2000 title on it...because that's the rules. If you don't like the rules of the game we're playing, you can go play some other game. But this is a precise game with precise rules and Double-Edge with the IG-2000 title is within those rules.
