Tarkin looking for new love at 83

We've seen FFG make some really good "fixes" for under used cards and ships. (Well, mostly ships). I'm hoping FFG will make more cards to interact with Tarkin, he's my fav commander cuz he requires thinking to maximally utilize basically what amounts to 2 commands per ship you have.

What are your best Tarkin fleets? Mostly for fun, but I'd love to see competitive ones too.

I have had a BLAST with Tarkin in CC. He super shines at 500 pts. My fleet was an ISD II, Gladiator, and 2 Arq's and a Gozanti with squad cover.

This is the fleet I was going to take to Regionals this year. It is similar to my CC fleet since my plan was to use the CC as practice for flying my regional fleet. The idea of the fleet was use Tarkin'd squad tokens to funnel the squadrons where they were needed early, then switch to engineering tokens to spam repair and just tank. With all those red dice with Jonus, IO, and conc. fire it's a lot of damage at long range. I don't know if it helps at all, but this is what I was going with:

Dude this build looks bombdiggity

I love Jonus and long range reds. How well did it work out on the table? Also, 4 ships

Ill be totally honest, I had it memorized so I just threw it in manually since I am on mobile. I'll PM it to you when I get a bit.

Unfortunately I couldnt make it to my regionals, so I couldn't test it against a battery of skilled opponents, but it worked really well. I played one on the table practice game against a local opponent and they got tabled turn 4 and it wasnt even kinda close.

He was running a pelta, liberty, MC30, 2 flot, and bombers. The Arqs killed the liberty by stripping tokens with big jonus aided hits turn 3 without hardly taking a scratch in return while the ISD barrelled into the pelta and mc30 killing the pelta in one shot and tanking some heavy mc30 double arcs with rbd and engineering tokens shuttled via coms net.

Playing the 500 pt version in CC it did very very well too. I can't speak highly enough of how good Tarkin is the with the Arquitens especially.
