Are we going to have to go through the whole "Why TIE/sf's don't have a crew slot?" issue again?

or were they asking why ships that have bomb slots and crew can take a Bombadeer? Like the ARC having a Tail Gunner?

"Bombers" might want a little sumthing to make them better at bombing than others. Maybe? Crew isn't necessary. Maybe just a title that helps them bomb better?

Haven't finished the episode yet so maybe they point this out. Bombers can take bombardier... they just can't also take bombs.

Specifically they don't have Bombardier because they're a single operator vessel, 1 pilot only. And in order to get the space for passengers you need to not load her up with ordinance. I think it was Ryan who said it might be neat if you could like, 50% TIE Shuttle but I'd wager FFG probably would err against that. Ys can't take bombardier either, and they technically have a backseater (who operates the turret).

I think it was kind of a 'why does the only ship in X-Wing named a bomber not have the ability to have a bombadeer on board?' You know, the elephant in the room, obvious obscurity kinda rhetorical question that everyone already knows the answer to...not the point of the podcast at all, just 10 words, no discussion.
