Epic influencing 100/6 games

I love Epic. And Double Epic. First we saw Coordination with the UPS. Now Reinforce with the Wookee ship. And I think this is good.

One of the best aspects of X Wing is that the basics are very simple. But when expanding the fleets there was some risk about how to give unique feels to new models. Segnor and then Talons were OK (and 0 Red of course). Later, AAs to give Strikers an unique feel.

Now we are starting to see Epic Actions in Large/Small ships. And I think this is a well done move. First, easy mechanics not dificult to learn. Second, perhaps some players with no interest in Epic prior to Wave 10 will try Epic.

IMHO FFG is OK with this way of adapting Epic tools in new ships. I am quite dissapointed about old ships lagging behind in the power curve, but I like this.

Try Epic one day. Simply small 200 pts game with GR 75 and Gozanti.

I can see Scum getting the Jam action. Since Recover requires energy and the energy system is firmly integrated into huge ships with dial and energy attributes I doubt that will be coming to standard.

But then again we could just up the squadron point limit to 200 and allow 3 epic points in standard :P
