So we know that the Skuurg has at least one red maneuver. The Punisher has a few as well. The Firespray has a pair of red K-Turns. The Firespray also has some pilots that can take Stay On Target. The Skuurg might. The K-Wing doesn't have any red on it's dial, and no EPT to get some.
What if the Bomblet Generator dropped a Bomblet every time you revealed a red maneuver and only cost a couple of points? Emmon and Deathrain could both do some crazy stuff with something like that.
Give Deathrain Advanced Sensors and the Unguided Rockets and he could take a focus action, reveal a red, drop a bomb in front of or behind him, barrel-roll, and then K-Turn to be in position to fire Rockets at whatever was behind him.
It's probably a horrible idea in practice but it seems like it might be kind of cool.

Each faction has cool bomb stuff (Super Death Bros™ for Imperials, Andrasta/Genius for Scum, etc), but Sabine's auto-damage every round is just too much comparatively. ![]()

There are a boat load of upgrades for ordnance carriers in this wave and we have not seen even half of them. Cruise missiles look like they are Atk:TL and not spend the TL plus extra atk for maneuver speed. Bomblet generator is a complete unknown other than being unique. The system appears to do something with bombs during deployment but not sure what or how. There is also the Mod in the Scurrg pack to consider. It seems like a great many of these upgrades could be used to good effect on the Punisher.
I'll be giving deathrain another go with recent updates but his preferred prey- low hp Aces- already has a lot of hate.
i can't wait to see bomblet generator. I'm guessing seismic charges and on deathrain that's a lot of BR action!
I'm willing to give it a try but I'm sceptical. It doesn't make it a lot shootier (3 dice with focus isn't all that hot) and it doesn't make it a lot tougher (1 die vs 2 dice without focus), and it doesn't make it any cheaper. So I'm really not that convinced.
Unguided Rockets are interesting, but 2 dice with focus and no other mods just doesn't cit it that well in the current meta.
Talk to me about GSVs with UR, Frame and Crackshot tho
Considering the Scuurg comes with two new bomb tokens and no new bomb upgrade card out side of the bomblet Generator I have a feeling it is going to be Scurrg only and be something that allows you to drop the first bomb for free, then any subsequent bombs would require you to spend a shield to drop another. Not only does this bring Gonk! into the Scum mix, but also it would limit the Sabine effect for Rebels.

Hope it will fix the Firespray in some ways.
