Slaved Turrets and Anti-Squadron

Stolen from my buried post in the wave 6 thread

So...if i have all this right, the quasar can end up with a 2 red for antifighter.

This involves Slaved Turrets and how Antifighter works, please correct me if im wrong.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"To perform an attack with a squadron or ship, proceed through the following steps:"
1.Declare Target:
2.Roll Attack Dice:
3.Resolve Attack Effects:
4.Spend Defense Tokens:
5.Resolve Damage:
6.Declare Additional Squadron Target:
"If the attacker is a ship and the defender was a squadron, the attacker can declare another enemy squadron that is within the firing arc and at attack range of the attacking hull zone as the new defender. Repeat steps 2 through 6 against the new defender. Each enemy squadron can be targeted once per attack"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Step 6 seems to imply that using anti-squadron is treated as one attack, especially considering you never leave the original attack step.

So if forming an attack pool and rolling vs every squad in an arc counts as one attack, slaved turrets works with shooting at each squad in an arc.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Seems really good, a half decent antifighter all game long, while being able to push 4+ bombers
Certainly, you can attack Multiple Squadrons with your One Attack with Slaved Turrets...
That's allowed Explicily by the FAQ.
But what you are missing is:
"While attacking a Ship"
latest?cb=20150930162410
Additionally, Slaved Turrets is somewhat of an Exception there.
Because for Upgrade Card Effects, each Anti-Squadron Attack is considered a Separate Attack. This is also defined by FAQ (So if you want to spend 2 Shields to add 2 Dice to Dominator's Anti-Squadron attack against 5 Squads in Arc, you are spending 2 Shields per squadron , rather than spending 2 shields at the start and adding the dice to them all.)
...
Blame the fact that they use "Attack" to mean two separate things.
Feel free to search the word "Salvo" in order to find my Numerous Rants on the subject if you are Bored :D
welp, maybe i shouldnt assume the text versions on armada warlords is correct, thanks Dras
i did find your post about Salvo and Attack yesterday, but couldnt seem to find it again...was trying to link to that. (friggin Dras, always ruining my hopes and dreams, that one time)
If you do some "Snipe style ruling", this totally works. You just drop the "a ship" portion of the card and then you get to add 1 red die to every attack.
Yea, I'm still pretty irked about that.
Plus, didn't someone try to argue that ST granted an extra die on anti-squad attacks months ago? Or a year?
Yes - but it was for the same reason - they'd looked at the card in a Builder, rather than looking at the card itself.
It is only the text version on the upgrade site that is wrong. The picture is correct at armada warlords.
Sadly it is the text version that is being used for the compact builder. The normal one is using the pictures, and this is fine.
