Captain Jonus will become priority numero uno. Maybe a use for rebel captive or something like that.
Oh riiiiiiight THIS is why everyone used to think Imperials would never get turrets.
The value of that 4th TLT shot is probably about as potent though honestly. Especially against low agility ships where you aren't going to need the rerolls too often.

Yah, but that would shut down Expertise, which is the bane of my lists I am currently flying.
True, but only for one ship, if you run a captain jonus with rebel captive and operation specialist, the focus sharing becomes nasty, I played a casual game with operation specialist thrown on the U wing with an a wing and y wing and my ships ended almost every turn with an extra focus.
Just don't put LWF on the agressors and load Jonas up with rebel captive, LWF and Yssane

Or then give jonus tactician and stress the ship that didn't rebel captive to completely shut down expertise.

Operations Specialist would kind of suck in a squad full of TLT. You'd mostly be relying on Jonus's primary attack to generate a token.
I think that Operations Specialist would only triggers if both shots from a TLT attack miss.

Yeah, this was my thought, but I think that we're at a place where Captain Jonus can be killed pretty quickly in the current meta, so maybe it's not as big of a deal.
I like that built. I'm also going to try a deci+2agressor built for sure. 50 points give you a pretty nce decimator (or 54 if you dont put LF on the Aggressors)
Anything that triggers "after attacking" triggers after the 2nd attack of a "perform this attack twice" now. OpSpec might as well not work on TLTs or Clusters.
To be honest I will do more a mix between missile and turrets for fun battle with friends.

Or maybe Hot Shot Copilot. Sure, attack Jonus, but if you do, you give up your defenses vs TLTs.
Having to fly in a tight formation is a problem for TLTs.
Jonas' range1 restriction kinda makes me not want to try this. Thats a really tight formation to keep that can be easily broken due to formation fly predictability.

Yes you do - cause you need to fly in formation. On the first approach its fine but later you are stuck with 3 ordinary TLTs and an useless brick instead of 4 TLT. And if you stay in formation whole game, you just asking to be donut-holed. If Jonus would be Range 1-2 cool. At range 1 its not so op as it looks.
If you've seen the good TLT players at work, they will often know when to splay out and how to keep all the ships relevant but apart, and this prevents that.
Was I the only one who thought "what kind of troll post is that? Captain Jonus is Imp, Aggressors are Scum, they can't even field TLT and 3 of them + Jonus don't fit a list. Triple Troll much?"
then later noticed, oh right. A new wave was spoiled. I get it now.

I think you'll lose Jonas in one round of shooting often enough that I'd rather invest those points in Rebel Captive and, I dunno, Jerjerrod or something.

And now you can only afford 2 TLT carriers because you've spent nearly a third of your points on a ship that's exactly no threat whatsoever without his buddies backing him up.
